I have read a lot of these posts in regards to Best Defenses and there are a few I’ve tried and learned that work well for me. When I now have team that is 103ovl and a 105 Def playing similar teams is a game of chess and luck. The one thing I’ve tried that has helped and seems to be dismissed a lot is Blitzing. The only play I run on 1st down is Engage 8 Blitz. I even used this when I was 99-100 OVL playing higher levels as well and worked more that less for me. I have had so much success with it. Forces mistakes on the very first play. Either a turnover or pushes them back forcing a pass play on 2nd and long. Very few are teams able to run or pass and get by it because it forces a quick decision without being able to see whole field. The % over the time I started doing this have been heavy in my favor. All my LB’s are Maxed out along with my DE, CB and S. Never run Man to Man. Recently I’ve used a lot of Cover 3. Works pretty well just haven’t found the right combo to slow / shut down similar teams with same power. The one that causes the most turnovers for me is Cover 3 Cloud. I’ve only been playing since October. I’m not a gamer so still learning but these forums have helped me learn what works for others the. I’ve applied them and what has worked well for me. There are still some tricks I’m looking for but that’s the fun part of learning the game I guess. Thanks for your info, hope mine helped a little.
