Please note that this applies to U.S. residents only.

How We Use Your Personal Information

Our Services work with third parties, including advertising companies and website analysis firms, who use cookies to collect information about your browsing activities when you visit our websites and third-party sites, such as your IP address and search history. This information, collected through cookies, is typically used by these third-party advertising networks to serve you with advertisements tailored to meet your preferences and interests. Some of these third parties also use mobile identifiers to collect information about your mobile device usage in order to provide tailored advertising. Further details about how we use your personal information are found in our Privacy Policy.

Your Right to Opt-Out of Sharing of Your Personal Information

The laws of several U.S. States give their residents the right to opt-out of certain selling and/or sharing of personal information related to them or their household. Such sharing includes information we share with third-party advertisers. Fandom has elected to make this opt-out right available to all U.S. residents. There is no charge for making this opt-out request.

This opt-out right is subject to certain exemptions. For example, your opt-out right does not apply to information that has been aggregated and/or de-identified such that it could not reasonably be used to identify you. It also does not apply to personal information that we share with third-party service providers in order for them to perform certain business functions for us.

We may use IP-address based geolocation and other technologies to determine whether you are
eligible to exercise the opt-out right. If you are a U.S. resident and are unable to exercise your opt-out right, please contact us using the information provided in the “Contact Us” section of our Privacy Policy.

How to Exercise Your Opt-Out Rights

How you exercise your opt-out rights depends on whether you are a Website Visitor or a Mobile App User. The opt-out controls for our websites and apps are separate. If you use both our website and app and wish to exercise your opt-out right across both platforms, you must submit two separate opt-out requests by following the instructions for Website Visitors and Mobile App Users detailed below.

Website Visitors

You can opt out of the sale of your personal information collected on our Fandom websites by clicking the “Opt-out of Sale of My Information” button below:

Mobile App Users

You can opt out of the sale of your personal information collected by our mobile app by accessing the “Profile settings” menu within the app and setting the “Accept tracking for personalization” switch to “off.”

Using a Browser Plug-in or Control

Some browsers or plug-ins use a “Global Privacy Control” (“GCP”), which you can learn more about at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. If our site detects a GCP signal from your device, we will interpret it as a Do Not Sell/Share request.

Authorized Agents

You can authorize another person (an “Authorized Agent”) to opt-out of the sale of your information on your behalf by providing the Authorized Agent with written permission to do so.  Your Authorized Agent can email us or contact us via postal mail at the following address in order to submit an opt-out request on your behalf:

Desmond Cussen, Data Protection Officer
c/o Fandom, Inc.
130 Sutter Street, 4th Floor
San Francisco, CA 94104
Email: DPO@fandom.com

A request from an Authorized Agent must include the following information: (1) a written authorization from the consumer that includes the consumer’s full name, address, telephone number and valid email address used by the consumer to interact with Fandom that is signed by the consumer and clearly bestows upon the agent the proper authority; and (2) a certificate of good standing with your state of organization. Alternatively, an acting agent can provide a valid power of attorney signed by the consumer on the agent’s behalf and a valid email address used by the consumer to interact with Fandom. The email address of the consumer will be used to separately verify the agent’s authority with the consumer.
