This is generally true of all the promos. There hasn't really been a true P2W promo so far; this one was actually the closest to that.

Doesn't work if you want max badges or to build your team. The best way to get all the promo GMs without spending a lot (and I've gotten everything since the draft FTP) is to just plan ahead. Look at how much time you have, think about how many resources you'll need and how many you can get. Check the prices on 90s etc. that you'll need. So long as you get more out of what you put in, you're creating value and profit. E.g. I spent 3 mill on pieces for Derrick Henry, but got about 4.5 mill back in value (4 99s, cohen, and henry). Or in the draft promo I spent 4 mill and got Donald, Elliot, Eddie Jackson, and 9 other 98s/99s; sold donald and elliot for 5 mill total so EA essentially gifted me 1 mill and 40 max badges.

I feel like I agree with a lot of your comments haha. All these promos are easily doable by playing first win.

That's a really good point. Hopefully they'll increased the badge drop rate. A guaranteed 85 on first win of jackpot helps out a bit too.

I don't think that matters or has an impact on who the master is. You're not voting for who the master is. The votes are who the player base thinks it is.

100% agree with this. OP's suggestion is flawed in many ways; he's building badges at almost double the cost too.

100% agree with this. Lots of the complaints about things being unfair for F2P are from non-competitive players. Smart F2P can keep up with madden maxes. It's just about planning, and maximizing your resources. There isn't really anything challenging or secretive about it either. Plus, truly competitive people can score at least 3 TDs even if they're -5 in PWR.

One of my league mates got 36 lollipops, 38 football candies and 36 helmet candies. That's about half a player (not including shields).

I think ncannelora1 may be going along more with my point. Essentially, OP doesn't really have the grounds to complain that all his hardwork got overridden by Mad Max when he doesn't have that top tier team to being with. His point would've been stronger if he had 4.5k pwr, because then he would've actually put in a lot of time and effort. 3500 pwr isn't really something that reflects "[grinding] like a maniac". Real people who grind like maniacs had (before cinco dropped) more than 4 Max players; if you're below that then you haven't invested a lot of time and effort (some effort for sure, but not nearly the amount that OP implies). Real grinding maniacs aren't really affected by the implementation of Mad Max. On to OP's original point, I think that Mad Max certainly has its flaws, but ultimately it's likely working the way that EA intended (and the way that I thought it would). Mad Max gives the average, casual player (likely not on Muthead) a chance to bump up the stats of their favourite player so that they can have fun with them (e.g. 105 OVR Tom Brady rushing for 40yds etc.). It's important to remember that EA is a company, so they need to find ways to make money. Mad Max helps them do that both directly (through the max badge pack thing) and indirectly (by encouraging people to buy promo related madden cash packs so that they can exchange those players for max badges). At the same time, they've made max doable for non-spending competitive players like ncannelora1 and myself (and many others on this forum). This is also something that EA planned/expected for some things that would require a more in-depth explanation of what Madden Mobile represents as a financially viable app. I hope this doesn't make it seem like I'm picking on OP; I just think that arguments against Madden Max because it's "unfair" are weak, and there have been lots of them on this forum and on reddit. A better argument would be that it's "unrealistic", turning this game into a arcade/real hybrid into an pure arcade game.
