I know they changed all defensive coaches to offense boosts, iirc, but +7 is still a hell of a boost from a coach. And why only the TE and not my receivers? Peculiar

Here's a pic from a game I was playing. The first pic is me at the 2-pt conversion, and the second is my lineup   https://imgur.com/a/FPqTW   My TE in the lineup is 113 OVR, but in-game he is 120 OVR. I have level 3 Tomlin as my coach. I'm not complaining :) But does my Tomlin cause my TE to get a +7 boost? None of the other players on my offense as I can see are boosted.

Yeah, his stats are dope for his OVR. And the +8 will make him one of the best CBs in the game.

I've been thinking that it depends on the player. When Gates I absolutely experienced that. Buth with TOTW Jones and Carmichael and TOTW Janis, I've had very little open drops. Even irl, open receivers will drop balls too, but rarely.

Last year iirc TOTY collectibles were completely different than TOTW collectibles. If you don't like any of the Captains, then I'd put em into training.

I'd put Rhodes at CB2 and Ramsey in the Nickel. Rhodes has better BKS and MCV/ZCV

I second the Shazier part. This guys always shows up on film. Easily my best defensive player

TOTW Janis is a budget beast

Honestly Watson's boost is a bit better. Later on in the season with speed capped at 99, Vick's boost is gonna be useless. Watson's boost will benefit your whole team for the rest of the season.
