Good call. These packs were a good value for Max tokens.

If I pull an Epic, I just put that into the 5x trade.

It's definitely a flaw in the engine. Think about how an NFL defense operates. Coverages are often disguised, so the QB cannot tell which coverage he will see pre-snap. After the snap, defenders must recognize what routes they are seeing, based on film study, and adjust their coverage technique. These concepts do not exist in this game. A good defense can pressure the QB with just their front 4, giving him maybe 2 or 3 seconds to get rid of the ball. And most cannot take a 20 step drop and launch a 60 yard bomb on a dime. A good front 7 can limit runs to an average of 3-4 yds per carry. Not 10 yds a pop, like in this game.

Personally, I'm not much of a believer in "hard counters" for this version of MM. That was a MM15-18 thing. For me, I try to use more of a Football 101 approach. Run D is a lot about having enough guys in the right spots. So for outside runs, I would defend that with plays containing flat zones (light blue bubbles), 5 men on the line, and contain style edge rush (where the edge defender curves outward). For the cheese plays, well, there's nothing that can fully stop them 100% as the name implies. But the basics of coverage are: Cover 1: Singe high safety protects the post. CBs in man are good against streaks. Weak against crossers and corners. Cover 2: Two high safeties protect the seams. CBs play short zones to guard the flats. LBs are defending quick slants and crossers. Weak in the deep middle, so a well-timed deep post is a killer. Also vulnerable to flat seven concepts (WR/TE corner and RB in the flat combo) Cover 3: Single high safety with CBs playing deep zones. Should be good vs. post and corner. Weak up the seams and in the flats. Crossers usually open in this game as well. Cover 4: Two high safeties and CBs playing deep zones. Defends post a bit better than Cover 2, but can still be beat. Vulnerable to underneath stuff and flats. Also, those deep zones aren't as good vs. streaks as they should be. In this game, a big receiver can just catch a jump ball in front of the defender. So, I look at what routes are beating me in which situations. Then I try to defend that area of the field. But as you can see, there are so many plays that have more route combos than you can defend with the basic coverages that we have available. So the best defense usually ends up being opponent user error 😂

The Day 1 Napkin Math is designed to be a very conservative estimate. If you look back at the Vault estimate for promo max it was Daily Refills + 35 100 MC packs. So it’s going to be pretty close to what you got for Vault.

Sorry, only need to get to 5. If you already claimed it at level 1, you’ll have to wait until tomorrow.

They are the same. In old school MM, it’s as if 235 = 99 and 262 = 99 with a +10 boost. Still 99. In this test I isolate SPD from ACC by measuring only the final 50 yards of the run. So they’ll already have accelerated to full speed by that point.
