So first year back playing madden since like 2008. Only game I've really been playing for like the last 6 months and I've finally finished my team all 99's across the board but now I'm not having any fun. Before I got the team powered up I felt like I was better on defense could user picks, my secondary would knock passes away and stopping the run wasn't crazy hard. Over the last couple weeks it's been ridiculous though. I've had passes thrown right to me as Shazier or Roquan over the middle and still dropped them, Shazier has hot hands since he can't get outta my way so it's happened with both chems. I keep getting bad timing notifications where it says thing like user lurk that's new as well. My Ed Reed hasn't been going after the ball when it's thrown his way just tackles the guy after he makes the catch. 99 Urlacher had an errant pass thrown directly to him and instead of trying to catch it he batted it down while being the only player in the zone. In the run game I'm not worried about Ricky Williams being an unstoppable bowling ball, that is what it is, but my linebackers are missing tackles for loss on end arounds with WR's carrying the ball, when Terrell Owens or Desean Jackson shed backfield tackles from Urlacher, Shazier and Roquan it's baffling. On offense I can't complete a pass unless my receiver is like 5 yards away from everyone else. I'll have a receiver wide open and hit him without risk of being picked and one step later the ball is on the ground. I've tried doing nothing but possession catches and it doesn't help. 2 yards of separation is clearly not enough but the more frustrating aspect is when the guy I'm playing is blanketed and comes down with everything thrown his way. Makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong.  I mostly play h2h seasons I'm ranked all madden 2nd string although from all pro 2nd string and up the competition feels about the same. I'm not great at the game but I have a strong understanding of football. This probably just seems like a long rant but these issues have been pretty consistent for me. Just wondering what I'm doing wrong.
