I'm not a big COD guy but I got it this year to play with my oldest.....it's refreshing. I spent on the original purchase and that's it. I'm competitive. However it is a little like Madden in the tactics in the game are unreal. I'm trying to shoot a guy and he's jumping up and down like Peter Pan so I miss him.....like no one can just jump up and down like a ninja like that...It's like that movie Hidden Dragon/Crouching Tiger where they are on cables.....and no one runs through a theater of battle like that....no one. I'm out there trying to use real battle tactics like slicing the pie when I enter a room or "camping" and I'm getting called names by my son for camping. I'm like dude no one just runs into the line of fire like this.......you use your cover.

I'm pretty sure Earl Weaver has a cameo as Santa in the movie......

I hear you buddy, I was the same way...loved team building and working a budget and being a GM of my own team making my coin stretch and work the best for me. But I hate to break it to you....they don't care. They don't care about you and they don't care about me. If you haven't seen in the past few years how they continue to squeeze and drive people to gambling on packs. How they regard their community....just look at what happened this week. They know this game is addictive and they prey on that addiction....I've never seen a consumer base put up with such crappy treatment from a company....the same guys who will come in and say "Maybe MUT isn't the game for you" who have no reservations about spending thousands on this game, and to be honest I'm skeptical on most people who claim to be NMS. I think most of us are embarrassed to admit what we spent...the guys who come in and claim "You must be doing something wrong"...I call BS on most of those....EA has been squeezing us and driving us to packs with crappy odds and reducing what you can earn through grinding. And you can do what I did and stop giving them money and guess what? A couple more suckers will pop up in our place. The money train keeps rolling for them. It's all part of the plan and as long as people keep spending they will keep squeezing. The only thing that scares them is the trending hashtags towards the NFL about this game. Anything that would make the NFL rethink it's relationship and their exclusive rights is what gets their attention. I took this year off and I feel great about it. I haven't spent one cent. I play my older versions if I need my football fix. From everything I read (except for the EA burner accounts that come in here), I made the right decision. It only seems to get worse. I can't fathom why this community hasn't woken up as a whole yet? I'm starting to see some YT's start to change their tune.

Anyone who writes "Quit or I'll keep it paused" better be ready to call into work sick and have a supply of soup and blankets handy because I'll refuse to ever give into that garbage. If hitting the resume game button doesn't work, I'll crank the volume on my TV and go clean my house until I hear the game is back on. I did this once and waited a guy out for an extended period a few years back. I ended up winning but that tactic worked for him to some degree because he got back in the game. If people let guys get away with this, they are going to keep doing it to others. I don't gamble...but if I did I wouldn't gamble with that type....guys like that show that there is no scum level they won't stoop to win...he's probably got a few cheater tricks up his sleeve not to mention I doubt he's reliable....no honor among thieves. If you are beating him, I'd imagine a disconnect and then a block so he doesn't pay up.

My guess would be Aaron Rodgers. Brady has already had the cover and so has Mahomes. Rodgers just won the MVP and along with Mahomes seems to be at the forefront of getting commercials. I think they will go with someone new, but someone they think can market this subpar game....Rodgers fits into that category. Another possibility they could go with is Russell Wilson or Deshawn Watson. Two top level QB's. They could switch it up and go with a D-man but who is the most high profile guy on defense right now? Aaron Donald might be a good choice. Derek Henry for the top HB if they want to go that route. They have gone with QB's the last two so maybe they switch it up.

Not sure what they had. I got the game and just played as a regular team. For a few years I didn't even realize what MUT was in Madden. I'd get the game, play as a regular team. One day (a few years back) I saw my kids in the MUT mode, and I'm like, wait I can build my own team like a GM? I got hooked. My kids tell me that had some mode but it wasn't exactly like a MUT mode. They tell me you could mod players. They're telling me you may be able to mod some players in the new version if it holds true to the old version. So if they don't have say Doug Flutie (he has his own college FB franchise) I can mod and make him. Not sure how it will pan out, but you have to think with amount of $$$ the MUT brings in they could have something similar. I would love to have old college football legends.

You don't have to go with a Theme Team. They don't have to get rid of theme teams ether. I didn't. I just built the best team I could within my time and budget with the players I liked. Last year I targeted the players that fit my scheme/team and invested in them. Once I knew a certain player was going to fit into my end game scheme, I bided my time until his price fell on AH and grabbed him. I didn't waste any coin on players who didn't fit into my end game scheme. Stayed away from wasted assets. My team was pretty good and could compete at all times last year.

Pro's - Helps people learn the game. I've enjoyed watching some of these and picking up on stuff I didn't know. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy labbing and finding stuff out on my own through practice, but I learn a lot through watching others too. Definitely helps by watching and learning from others, and I'm not talking about glitching. I'm talking about overall getting better in the game. Raising my collective IQ with the game. Con's - Teaches people how glitch and exploit bad game design. Once a glitch is taught it spreads and kind of ruins the game when everyone is using it. That blows. Just not fun. I want a football simulation and football strategy is part of the fun. And I put that on how EA designs the game. If they improve computer AI for the players you don't control (you can only user one at a time), that might help. I've said this before but if a receiver runs the same pattern in front of Brian Dawkins 3 or 4 times, he's going to adapt and jump that route eventually. My personal pet peeve about streamers or more specifically "Game Changers" with deals with EA, and it may be a question of ethics, is how they shill for EA and pack openings. We saw a case in here last year where a streamer came in and shilled for what was widely considered a horrible promo. The criticism was justified but he lost all credibility as far as I'm concerned. He blocks anyone critical of EA on Twitter. I question what sort of deal they have with EA as far as "Game Changers". Free packs? Exposure and partnerships on Twitch. Exposure to promote their YT channels for revenue? While they might get the free packs and it may be their "job" to bring in revenue so they can open these packs, for a lot of people they don't have those disposable resources. I believe it's exploitive and manipulative to drive people to buy packs. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if EA feeds them loaded packs to show everyone so others get the idea the odds are great to pull these hard to get players (LTD's). They go out and make it look like anyone can pull a Golden Ticket...we know what those odds were. They have the resources to open multiple packs to grab one and leaves others with the impression that it's easy and could happen to them. It exploits compulsive gambler type of personalities who then go to open packs hoping to have the same luck.
