I hadn't played Madden since Madden 15.  I stopped 15 early because it was definitely pay to play and hard to keep up with great teams.  This year they've helped us a ton in this regard but I gotta say, MUT is still terribly run. The mode itself is amazing.  The content(whether we like promos) is still great.  I usually rotate games in and out like FIFA, Live, 2K(even tho its asscan of a game), and Madden. Initially I paid for the HOF version of this game this year because i wanted what i thought was going to be an edge against my competition. NAT Antonio Brown...your choice of a HOF player.  I thought the value was there, right? boy was i wrong.  Antonio was lowkey trash and it was very clear 2 months in that they had no long term strategy in regards to HOF players.  In 15, i felt like we had a larger legend pool/more variety and teams felt different.  Its 3 months in and they are already recycling legends and what's worse is Roquan makes the new Urlacher miserably pointless.  Even with a bears theme team.  Why not let guys that took the time to complete the 90 ovr HOFs get these cards for 1/4th of the training or something.....where's the incentive behind the promo you marketed the game with?  just stupid.  The ratings have just become a speed one-upsmanship.  every card is just gonna get faster with no reasoning behind it.  every patch changes something with the passing game.  top tier DBs(i had ronnie Lott, ed reed chem'd out, deion at a 98 speed and 97 rating, slay at a 95) and guys get burned on the simplest of routes.  guys dont break on zones.  playmaker just ruins coverages because the CPU is fucking stupid. and then there's weekend league.  I love getting elite every weekend, especially since i hadnt played in 4 years.  i felt like i caught back up rather quickly...but jesus scum kicking christ weekend league just shows off just how bad the programming truly is.  scum kicks, spam blitzes.  In 15 i used to run the ball with Ahman Green so i started out this year doing it.  I have clips saved from my first weekend in WL picking up 80 yard runs like it was nothing because obviously everybody spammed the same passing defenses and i was rewarded for my play.  the community complained about running being too OP(it wasnt) and now dudes can run the same trash passing zone defense and get into my backfield before i even hand the ball off. What did it for me was 2 weekends ago, a guy ran crash blitz from the left side and i spent all game blocking 8 guys and sending Rice and Moss on crossing routes(they'd have been open every since play) but my 8 blockers failed to pick up the blitz every. single. time.  pinch. slide. max.  every...single...time.  i sold my team and didnt finish weekend league.

100%.   I run toss/stretch just to set up this play. if I see you man cover/blitz at any point during my run, im gonna PA shot you to death.

I abused guys at the beginning of the year with the run.  to me it seems harder now because EVERYBODY does it now.  at the beginning of the year everybody was trying the same cheesy passing sets.
