So basically you can't get a 99 overall rating until every damn player on your roster is a 99. This game sucks.

I don't check in on these boards often so I apologize if this seems like a dumb question - but I have my defense all the way up to where 8 of my 11 starters are 99s with the other three being 98s who are boosted to 99. Yet my defensive rating still says it is a 98. On offense I have a mix of 97s, 98s and 99s but everyone is boosted to 99. My rating there is 98 with a combined rating of 98. So apparently bossing doesn't improve your overall ratings, but shouldn't 8 or 11 at 99 raw ratings put me to a 99 rating on defense or do I have to get all 11?!? Also backups don't factor in right? Punter/kicker?

Yeah I was two games away from the top level in solo battles. EA needs to make this right (again). Infuriating.

People have tried to trick me with onside kicks 2x but neither worked though it seems like it should have. In both cases I was stupid and picked my kick return before I checked to see what their play call was. In both cases, they were prepared to start the kick meter immediately and did not give me a chance to audible or call a timeout. But one went out of bounds and the other went right to one of my guys, so I don't know if maybe even that won't work.

I'm sure this has been asked before but  what is the best/easiest/cheapest way to acquire training points? My guess is you purchase high value players and then quick sell them for the training? If so, which player(s) are typically the best bang for buck in terms of cheap cost but high training sell?

I don't log in here all that often, but I am glad I did. I just got done playing weekend league for the first time. Normally I don't have time to get in 25 games so I don't bother. This weekend I had to myself so I decided to go for it. Teams I played against started Vick in 21 out of the 25 games I played! I was 4-0 against other QBs. I was 8-13 against Vick.   I literally logged in today to see if any posts like this existed. Thank you for validating what I was feeling all weekend. This game is broken currently. I like some of the suggestions here to reduce his accuracy, but I am just not sure EA can undo this and I am afraid this is what we are going to be stuck with. Right now there is ZERO reason to play with any other QB than Vick. Even a high 80s low  90s Vick is better than a high 90s Elway (who isn't exactly slow). But if Vick were slightly more mobile than those guys with less accuracy it would at least encourage people to try different QBs. As it is, it is just boring to fact the SAME offense 21 out of 25 times. And no, I don't use him myself out of principle. I'll take Elway for now even though I recognize he is not as good.

No don't misunderstand me. He is your best bet if you want to be competitive. They made him too good and it is obnoxious. Almost everyone uses Vick because he is the best QB in this game - by far because he can run, but his throwing ability can still be pumped up to be just as good as anyone else. I just hate it because I am so sick of playing against him. I played weekend league (all 25 games) and faced someone playing Vick in 21 out of the 25 games. Oh and I was 4-0 in the non Vick games. 8-13 against him.

Drop Vick and go with a real QB. Don't contribute the the cheeze that is Vick users. Sure he'll win you a bunch of games. But is it really worth it to contribute to the ruining of the game and cost you your soul at the same time?
