Still waiting for the ability to build custom playbooks in MUT. Not merely just selecting formations/plays but also the ability to position players along/behind the LOS, scheme blocking assignments, and draw routes. It's good they added Gun Monster formation in subsequent Maddens but I'm mad I can't run it in MUT17 when its been used in the NFL since at least 2012 (Chip Kelly in Philly), and I have plenty of other ideas I'd love to try out too. Speaking of scheming blocking assignments, we really should have the ability to hot route pass blocking responsibilities. It would really help mitigate cheesers that exclusively run some variation of edge or nickel 2 blitz packages.

Quote from rjs1620 >> Love the “connection to your peer has been lost” and conceeded part. Great video. I was hoping someone would get a kick out of that part, thank you for watching and thanks for the praise! Quote from PowerTeam9800 >> In my opinion, regular h2h teams is more like realistic gameplay.

Sure, Ultimate Team is a good time, but after a while you get tired of facing 99s and dealing with players that exclusively abuse C routes, HB overloads, gun bunch, twins flex, swerve glitches... there's more cheese in Madden 17's Ultimate Team than a Wisconsin dairy farm. Draft Champions tho? When players are forced to go toe-to-toe with teams in the 84-86 range, there's much less opportunity to hide behind game exploits, and much more opportunity for skill to shine. This is a supercut I made of nearly all my captures from Draft Champions in Madden 17, and now that we're over two and a half years out from 17's release date, I've decided it's time to hang up the sticks for good. I'll have an Ultimate Team video ready as well at some point in the future (was top 25 at one point so have a bunch of highlights against some pretty good competition), but for now I thought I'd share this with what remains of the Madden 17 community. In the spirit of the game, I only used some of my favorite music from 2016, and be sure to stick around to the end for three of the funniest bloopers you'll ever see in any American football sim. Enjoy, and thank you for your time! :D

Quote from Marleymission1 >> Usering the big guys is the most fun gronk is a favorite of mine as well interesting on too tall i need to try him more in coverage hes gotta be clunky though Once got caught pre-snap in the middle of switching defenders against a cheeser abusing Ace Posts, got stuck with usering Too Tall. I dropped into the back middle and my opponent threw it right to him. Too Tall got a 90 yard pick six :TROLL:

I've had multiple games with OOP UT Mike Evans where I've gotten north of five user picks/lurks. The height, jumping, and catching stats make him so good at baiting opponents into throws they shouldn't have even considered. I don't know of any other safeties that can get the one-handed catch animations usually reserved for wide receivers that Evans sometimes pulls off. OOP UT Gronk probably my second favorite for pretty much the exact same reasons. I've baited so many people running Inside Cross into user picks because they assume he won't be able to recover to the middle of the field after shading the underneath routes. Both guys are also extremely valuable users for covering the back of the endzone when playing red zone defense. Also, not sure if any of you have ever tried usering Too Tall Jones in zone coverage, but he has surprising lateral mobility and weirdly soft hands.

UT Evans IMO is the best all-around receiver in the game. UT Moss is likely the best pass catcher and home-run threat. Here's a direct comparison of the three guys you're looking at: https://www.muthead.com/17/players/compare/80021/46002/90004 Here's a post I made yesterday comparing Evans to V Jax, who seems to be the consensus most-favored receiver in the MUT17 community (I disagree): https://www.muthead.com/forums/madden/mut-discussion/legacy-mut-discussion/1463404-best-m17-wr?page=2#c26 I would do whatever is necessary to get Evans, he's far and away the best run blocker around and is absolutely un-pressable. I never got to try out Loyalty Hopkins, but I did use his Most Feared version in the slot a long time ago with mixed results. OBJ is my slot guy right now and is an absolute menace with the ball in his hands, he's extremely difficult to cover on slant routes. I've always been interested in Thomas but never enough to pull the trigger on acquiring him. All of his cards play fantastic tho, his 88 overall signature series is probably the best receiver under a 90 rating in Draft Champions.

The base Lattimore plays so unbelievably better than his stats that I can't even imagine how good his Rookie Premiere version must be. Back before 18 came out I used my premiere tag on Corey Davis, and while RP Corey served me well for a long time, he's now my WR5. I still start Lattimore for chem purposes before swapping in Ramsey at CB1, but I kick myself every time I look at Lattimore wondering what might have been. To make matters worse, I'm an Ohio State fan! Quote from bruinrogue >> Quote from snakeracin1

Quote from bruinrogue >> Too bad that SS is terrible against the run. I disagree a bit, I think OOP Evans' only weakness is that his hit power isn't quite high enough compared to the other top-flight options at his position. But the tackling radius he has at 6'5" with 99 jumping/pursuit and the JDR speed boost to 97 is absurd. He will leap at ball carriers like a panther going after its breakfast. His block-shedding certainly leaves something to be desired, but if you're usering him in obvious run situations, he's usually fast enough to outrun his assigned blocker and meet the RB on the edge. IMO if you're relying on your CPU safety to stuff any interior runs, you're already giving up a first down or worse anyway.

I never got my hands on V Jax, but I naturally assumed he was better than UT Evans since he was the last UL card to drop. However: https://www.muthead.com/17/players/compare/37401/80021 V Jax full chem may have 99s in catching and jumping while Evans full chem has only 97 and 96 respectively, but look at the RAC stats... Evans has 28 more points of elusiveness than V Jax. That is remarkably insane! He also has superior trucking, stiff arm, juke and spin move stats by pretty considerable margins. Evans at full chem also has one more point of release and five more points of strength, making him IMO the most un-pressable receiver in the game. V Jax has nine more points of run blocking, but Evans makes up for it with an absolutely ridiculous 89 impact blocking rating that stands 17 points higher than that of V Jax. I have had so many running plays go the distance solely because Evans will toss almost any CB covering him before moving down the field to seal off the safety.

I'll say this: There's only one player I can think of in the history of Ultimate Team that is 6'5" with 99 jumping, 82 strength, 99 pursuit, 91 catch in traffic, and 95 spectacular catch. It ain't Paul Krause, it ain't Lawyer Milloy, and it sure as hell ain't Landon Collins ;)
