Same here man... you literally can't bait good offensive players into throwing lurk picks on current gen. And you can't take away multiple routes with your user. EA has really closed the skill gap and I can't just move on like many others have. It literally took me years to "git good"... Besides... on old gen my Saints playbook that I've been in for 5 years now is exactly the same as M23. On M24 it's been nerfed into oblivion. I'm an older guy... I can't just relearn a new playbook.

Come back to old gen bruh... there's hardly any of us left. I was 22-3 last WL (because it took me 22 damn games to get all my stats done... otherwise there's no incentive to play all your games or get the most wins possible).

I posted the same thing over on MUT.gg. It's so evident that the game is currently tilted too far in favor of offense... you almost can't stop a good player from scoring (unless you're Henry who had Dubby in a bag). I stayed with old gen for M24. I played current gen for a solid three weeks at the very end of M23 and hated how sluggish the game felt on defense and I knew it would be even worse at the start of the new season... and that I would not enjoy it. The old gen version of M24 is pretty much the same thing as M23 just with new content - I actually like the way it plays. I realize this is probably the last year for an old gen version and if that's the case I think it will be my last year of Madden.

I'd say 90% of the teams I face would be called "God Squads"... with Moon, Taylor, Franco, Chad, Hester, Kearse, Hutch, Seau, Sherman, Reed, and Kam. Now add in Rice, Bettis, Deion, and BWags with AKA abilities and I just really think if you want to compete with the top dogs, you have to open up your wallet. I bought the platinum bundles... and have done pretty well at sets and flipping so I have every card that I want. But now it's time to start piling coins. I was 18-2 in WL and got the actionable Terrell. I definitely didn't need two of his awful abilities so I sold him for 375k I'm on track to get one of the auctionable Pickens cards... haven't decided on keeping or selling him. I won't be spending money on the game until Blitz or Ultimate Freeze.

Bruh I'm older than you but have only been playing MUT since M15... can't believe this is my tenth MUT! My first year I spent maybe $1000 bucks until I learned how to make coins... since then it's been a few hundred at the start of every season. I work full time... have a wife... six kids... seven cars... and two dogs. Other than the gym, MUT is my only hobby and it both drives me crazy and keeps me sane. It's sad to see the game get to this state but EA is just milking the franchise now. It could be so much better. As bad as the game is... I'm gonna keep playing because I'm fairly decent at it and I think it keeps me young!

I've been dabbling with M23 on Current Gen to see if I'm going to make the switch from Old Gen for M24. @nicksr84 is spot on... but here are some more thoughts: These might as well be two different games - you can get used to the menu system in a few days (although I think it's clunkier on Current Gen). But your user movement is noticeably slower or "sluggish" which makes defense much harder. It's impossible to bait good players into bad throws and you really can't cover multiple routes with your user. You pretty much have to pick a route to defend but if they throw away from your user, it's almost impossible to react in time to lurk the pass (whereas on Old Gen this was part of the fun). Conversely, offense is MUCH easier on Current Gen. Contrary to @nicksr84... I find that 1 play beaters work pretty well on Current Gen (much better than Old Gen) because the CPU controlled DBs don't react as quickly... (they are psychic on Old Gen). For example... dual seam streaks will beat Cover 3 on Current Gen... but that window is much tighter on Old Gen to the point that you almost can't throw them for fear of a tipped ball that turns into an interception. Be prepared to face the meta defenses you've probably heard about (Spinner, DB Fire2, Mike Blitz 0) that don't work as well on Old Gen. You'll see a lot of those... so have multiple man beaters in your arsenal with multiple man beating routes on each play... because guys who have been running these schemes all year know where they are vulnerable and will take away your primary option with their user. I could not run some formations against DB Fire 2 (like Gun Empty Y Saint) because the blitzing DBs go right around both Tackles. You can ID and shift your line to take away one but the other comes in screaming and if you're a pocket passer like me, you just can't get the ball off deep... so you are forced to dink and dunk and that's not my playstyle. I saw far less toters on Current Gen... not because running is more difficult... but because passing is pretty easy. I didn't face anyone running Goal Line offense every play (but this actually is a thing on Old Gen). Enjoy being able to kick punts and FGs again! Basically if you can get the ball past the 50 yard line, you (or your opponent) have locked up an automatic 3 points. As annoying as these blocks are on old gen... they at least add more drama to the games. As of right now I am completely torn on which way to go for M24. I completely hate the "casualization" of the gameplay on Current Gen. But I'm afraid there will be some game breaking bug or exploit on Old Gen and EA just won't fix it. Hell... they might actually sabotage the game on Old Gen to force people to finally make the switch.

Bruh... you can make unlimited coins right now with no risk and little effort (I read about this on Mut.gg). Just buy the 4x Pro Endgame Elite Bundies for 875k or even the RP RedZone Royale Bundles for 350k... then quicksell everything... and roll TVPs which have been reduced to just 27,500 tp. I was just messing around with this for a couple hours... not using the app or trying to go fast or anything and went from 14 mill to over 20 mill. You don't have to get super lucky with your rolls either. Guys are saying they're pulling lots of Golden Tickets... but I only pulled one GT (which sold for 450k). If you're broke then I'm pretty sure the RP RedZone Royale Pack for 23.5K would also be profitable. I'm stopping now because of the possibility EA might ban people for exploiting this... but it seems like a risk free way to make coins pretty quickly if you're staying on M23.
