Vets are unique because their base item gets all the chemistries of the teams they have played for, without the need for a Power Up card. The Veterans Player Pack is available in the store for 17k Training, which contains 1 random 92+ OVR Vet. There are also new Veteran challenges to complete, rewarding you with a Fantasy Pack where you can choose a Power Up version of one of the Vets.
