MUT Superstars Program Overview
MUT Superstars comes to MUT… in the middle of the night. MUT Superstars brings upgraded players to highlight the Superstar and X-Factor abilities that are brand new in Madden 20. The biggest positive, to me, is that these MUT Superstars are going to allow us to test a lot of the abilities without spending an absurd amount of Training. Take a deep breath and let’s dive in.
Refresher: X-Factor abilities require you to complete in-game objectives to get your player “in the zone.” Superstar abilities are passive abilities, meaning they are always active in-game.

Pro Tip: All of the Superstar Elites come stock with an X-Factor ability and 2 Superstar abilities. Aside from the offensive lineman.
How do I get them?
MUT Superstar Masters (Gilmore, Mahomes, Smith, and Ertz) are going to require you to complete their set. Although the Auction House is always an option, but these guys are going to be pricey for the time being.

How do I activate them?
Once you have a player with any abilities on your team you can activate them in your lineup. Use the left stick, or d-pad, to go to the right of the screen and you’ll see an option that says Superstar X-Factors. Select the player(s) you want to have abilities for your next games.
You need to activate your players in the lineup screen if you want their abilities in game. Remember, only 3 players on offense and defense can have X-Factor abilities and Superstar abilities active.

Milestones go up to a maximum of 245
- 50 stars for 84-85 OVR (non-auctionable/tradeable) Superstar Fantasy Pack
- 145 stars for 89-90 OVR (non-auctionable/tradeable) Superstar Master
- 175 stars - 2 77-78 OVR Superstar Gold Players
- 210 stars - 2 77-78 Superstar Gold Players
- 245 stars - 2 777-78 Superstar Gold Players
Important Notes
If you wanted to place any of the Elite MUT Superstars into a Power-Up, just know that you’re going to lose all of the abilities that come with the item. Bad news is you’ll have to repurchase abilities only if you power them up. The good news is this will allow you to customize what abilities you want.

I have 100 stars 5 stars on every challenge any bones to get more stars or we have to wait on daily challenges
1 day in and I am totally confused with all this stuff? I think my MUT days are over...
I KNOW! i hate this. Plus it's about 3k in training (aka- about a million coins ) just to get maybe all the training for one card. that might not even be enough. I graduated college, i don't liek playing games that i have to take a class on.
Maybe you should go back. 3k training isn't even close to a million coins. Any 90 legend is over 4k training and runs about 250k.
Glad I skipped this MUT this year. They're wasting too much time on this silliness. I just don't see the point.
So I need 70 of these 77-88 Superstar Gold Players, and I need to do 245 stars worth (the dailys) everyday to just get 6 total, and I need 70 of them?!?! Where do we get the other 62 of these cards? this is a PAY TO WIN PROMO ONLY - thanks EA. NMS? More like No Content.

EXACTLY. the 245 stars award is worse than the 145! ha. ridiculous
agreed. Like i said before i try and stay positive but so far i have put some money (50$) so enough money into packs have done all ultimate battles, and over 100 solos and i have about 60 cards all at 80 or 82 (based on free power up) on the upshot, it i want to get that 80 or 82 up a couple ovr's all it costs is about 60k for an 85 ovr and i can get what..500 training points? that is just ridiculous. I hope prices go down as i can even acrue enough money to get any regular power ups -not to mention the 3k you will need per player . EA has to bring these training points down and make them at least borderline affordable.
YEP! you either need to buy these at around 4k per card which is absurd or get bundles. there's not even a damn gold exchange where you can get one. You can use 60 training to get a random gold in the store. that's it.
Not sure about this one just yet... Seems the grind starts right off the bat, and already feel like there is just too much to grind on the solo side. However, seems faster to build your team, so for those that play Head-Head this year seems better. I guess only time will tell.
Agreed. I try to be positive from all things gaming perspective becuase we are here to have fun, but with some of this stuff, i feel like is the sports equivalent of a Skryim or advanced Final Fantasy series there's so much to learn. I need to take off two weeks from work.
Please update the article or the individual Superstar Master cards with the superstar X factor and abilities which come stock with the cards.
@EA , when you upgrade the superstar players, you lose the option to have the passive abilities that they already have on them.
