MUT 21: New Abilities and Ability Point Changes

Four new Superstar Abilities have been added to Madden Ultimate Team (Backlash, Recuperation, Honorary Lineman, and Deflator). Ability Point adjustments have been made to individual abilities and the AP limit on offense and defense have both been raised from 10 to 12. New Abilities

Backlash

Tacklers will get a fatigue penalty for any non-conservative tackle on a ball carrier with this ability equipped.

Power HBs - Tier 2 Ability, requires 90+ Truck (2 AP)
Physical WRs - Tier 2 Ability, requires 75+ Truck (2 AP)
Elusive HBs - Tier 3 Ability, requires 88+ Truck (4 AP)
Utility FBs - Tier 3 Ability, requires 90+ Truck (2 AP)

Recuperation

Quicker fatigue recovery.

All Archetypes - Tier 2 Ability (1 AP)

Honorary Lineman

More likely to produce impact blocks against defensive backs.

Physical WRs - Tier 2 Ability, requires 60+ Impact Block (2 AP)
Blocking TEs - Tier 3 Ability, requires 80+ Impact Block (3 AP)
Blocking FBs - Tier 3 Ability, requires 85+ Impact Block (3 AP)

Deflator

Produces more ball carrier fatigue when using non-conservative tackles.

Field General MLB - Tier 2 Ability, requires 90+ Hit Power (3 AP)
Run Stopper MLB - Tier 2 Ability, requires 90+ Hit Power (2 AP)
Run Stopper OLB - Tier 2 Ability, requires 90+ Hit Power (2 AP)
Run Support Safety - Tier 2 Ability, requires 90+ Hit Power (2 AP)
Hybrid Safety - Tier 2 Ability, requires 90+ Hit Power (3 AP)
Pass Coverage MLB - Tier 3 Ability, requires 90+ Hit Power (3 AP)
Pass Coverage OLB - Tier 3 Ability, requires 90+ Hit Power (3 AP)
Zone Safety - Tier 3 Ability, requires 90+ Hit Power (3 AP)

Ability Point Adjustments

Offensive and Defensive AP Limit has been raised from 10 to 12.

Double or Nothing - Increased +1 AP across all Archetypes

Acrobat - Increased +1 AP to all non-CB Archetypes

Escape Artist - Decreased -1 AP to Scrambler QB

Enforcer - Decreased -1 AP to all LBs and CBs, Run Stopper MLB/OLB now set to 1 AP

Identifier - Decreased -1 AP to Field General QB, Improvisor QB, and all O-Line Archetypes

Threat Detector - Increased +1 AP across all Archetypes

Juke Box - Decreased -1 AP to Elusive HB and Deep Threat WR

Spin Cycle - Decreased -1 AP to Elusive HB and Deep Threat WR

Evasive - Decreased -2 AP to Elusive HB and Deep Threat WR

TE Apprentice - Decreased -1 AP to Possession TE

Secure Tackler - Decreased -1 AP to Run Stopper DT and Run Stopper DE

Human Joystick - Set to 8 AP across all Archetypes

Playmaker - Set to 4 AP across all Archetypes

QB Playmaker - Set to 7 AP for Improvisor QB

Gunslinger - Increased +1 AP to Strong Arm QB, Field General QB, and Scrambler QB
