The Blitz Program made it's return to Madden Ultimate Team today with new players, sets, challenges, and store items! Below you will find an overview of everything you need to know about the latest program.

A new currency (Blitz Boltz) has been added to Ultimate Team for the Blitz Program. Blitz Boltz can be used to purchase Blitz packs in the store, similar to Training Points. When you first enter MUT, you will receive a Welcome Pack containing 100 Blitz Boltz.

Challenges

House Rules

For this version of Online Head-to-Head House Rules, we are alternating events every 24 hours. We will be playing Blitz: Drive and Blitz: Hot Potato. You will receive 25 Blitz Boltz and 200 Coins per win and 100 Coins per loss. Below is an overview of Drive and Hot Potato:

-Blitz: Drive

The rules for Blitz: Drive are simple. The offense has 1 drive to score a TD to win, while the defense must stop them for a win.

-Blitz: Hot Potato

Hot Potato starts in the 4th Quarter with a 2-minute duration. 30-yard passing TDs are worth 20 points. incompletions are -1 point, there's a 6-second pass timer, and no special teams.

Blitz 101 (20 Challenges, 26,000 Coins, 1,000 Boltz possible)

Take on the CPU in these challenges featuring House Rules to earn coins and Blitz Boltz. The House Rules for this event are 3 downs, 15 yards per down, +1 point per completion, -1 point per rushing attempt, the defense takes 3 points from the offense for each TFL or sack, and no special teams.

Blitz Bash (Unlocks tonight at midnight ET)

Blitz Bash is a limited-time House Rules event against the CPU that rewards you with Blitz Boltz and refreshes every 8 hours. Each event can be played as many times as you need to reach the maximum of 8 wins per event. Blitz Bash will alternate between Blitz: Strike and Blitz: Tug-of-War. Details for each are below:

-Blitz: Strike

You will begin the game with a deficit based on the difficulty you have selected. One star starts with you down by 10, two stars you are down by 30, and three stars you trail by 80. The House Rules for this event are 3 downs, -1 point per incompletion, -3 points per rushing attempt, +20 points per 15-yard TD, +10 points per interception, +10 points per first down, and no special teams.

-Blitz: Tug-of-War

You will begin the game with different field position based on the difficulty you have selected. One star starts with the ball on the 50-yard line, two stars starts at your own 40, and three stars starts at your own 30. Each team has 5 offensive plays and possession changes after each play. Score a TD for an automatic win or be closest to your opponent's end zone after all 10 plays to be declared the winner.

Store

In years past, there has been a global limit on pack offerings during Blitz. This year, there will only be a personal limit. The first pack offering update will be available in the Store tonight at midnight. Be sure to check the store often during this event to catch all the latest pack offerings as they become available.
