I purchased a couple of these cards/codes from Ebay when the game came out. Since then the prices have come up it seems. Still, if you can get them for $30 or less you are getting a good deal vs buying them from EA even with the EA PLAY/PAY “discount”. Of course then you are buying packs and playing the EA lottery where the odds are severely stacked against you. Good luck. Your Ebay search should be "madden 5850". All the retail cards are for 5850 points.

Just keep checking the site for points to get posted. If you see a listing that allows offers, I've lowballed balled by as much as $9 and it got accepted. It was a $35 listing for 5,850 points and I offered $26 and he accepted. In my write up I said part of the reason I am offering so low is because I'm not getting the points instantly and I have to pay sales tax when retail does not charge sales tax on point cards. After tax it was less than $29 for 5,850 points!
Is this Slickdeals.net or Muthead?
I thought this was Honey??
I have paranoia of people who would scam me on eBay because I have been scammed before. Any tips?
I've sold hundreds of items on ebay and as a seller I've made mistakes such as missing discs, dirty discs, damaged items from packaging incorrectly, or just pieces that were not working. These mistakes happen. I have been able to resolve each incident without ever getting a negative feedback from the buyer buy offering discounts, returns, etc. I still have a 100% positive feedback rating and even I am not a top rated seller. Therefore if you see any negative feedback it should raise a red flag or if the person you are buying from is not a top rated seller. To be fair 1 negative feedback in every 500 or so is acceptable. Also take into account the product.
It doesn't matter though. The buyer is always right with ebay. If its the sellers word against the buyer the buyer comes out on top.

only buy from people who are Top Rated Sellers
So I typically will drop money on the game during the black friday promo and that will provide me enough coins so that I don't have to touch a single solo for the rest of the game (or even spend another dollar). I've started resorting to ebay for Madden 22 points and I spent (with tax and shipping when applicable) $198.09 and got a total of 35,100 points. Obviously this is an exceptional deal. If you are paying $5 for EA play, then you can get 24,000 points for $180 ($185 if you add EA Play). I think Ebay is a great place to order these point cards. Only thing I recommend is to not buy from new Ebay users. There are people with several hundred sales of items with a 100% feedback; buy from them. But before you buy, factor in shipping costs and sales tax. It's possible with those two costs (if any) that the points per dollar spent will be WORSE than retail. Do the math. Ebay unfortunately will be collecting sales tax on these items, though there won't necessarily be shipping.
Just helping you guys out. Sometimes sellers will message you the code so you get it fast. Sometimes they will ship the card. If you're just trying to be ready for black Friday, or maybe the second or third drop of most feared, then Ebay is a great option.
Also, make sure you're buying for the right platform (xbox/playstation).
EDIT: If you have a Chase Freedsom card, you also get an extra 5% back if you pay for the codes using PayPal, which brings my cost down to $188.19 for 35,100 points. Hey... savings are savings.
