I really enjoyed the 85 ovr Walter Payton QB card from a few years ago (I think it was M25). This was the year read options really burst onto the scene... he was a goon.

I have a really tough time recalling individual cards in MUT since I've seen so many, but I think you have to judge the greatness of a card relative to the the other cards when it was released or else you'll just have a list of end game 99 OVRs that weren't even much better than the other 99 OVRs out at the time.
Maybe it's recency bias and I'm forgetting some of the great MUT QBs of old but that first Vick card last year takes the cake for me primarily due to the escape artist ability and how long that Vick dominated the QB position.
In my opinion, championships are the primary factor in deciding who was the greatest of all time. We're not just talking pure skills at the position. We are talking leadership and success at the highest level. This is why Michael Jordan is still the GOAT in basketball (but LeBron may actually surpass him). In my mind, Montana was the GOAT but Brady has since surpassed him (with Montana as #2 on my list). My man Terry Bradshaw also has 4 SB rings but I don't put him in the top 5 because the 70's Steelers won primarily because of their vaunted "Steel Curtain" defense. I actually don't think there is any credible argument for picking anyone other than Brady as #1... and I HATE the Patriots.
I think Manning is #3. Then... I think you could pick any two from Marino, Farve, Elway, Brees, Unitas to round out your top 5.
If championships are the #1 deciding factor for you, where do you rank Otto Graham ?
Can't say much about him as I never saw him play. Unitas is the only pre-super bowl era player I'm really familiar with.
1) Joe Montana 2) Peyton Manning 3) Dan Marino 4) Tom Brady 5) Johnny Unitas. I think you have to keep in mind the time they played. Manning, Brady, Brees all played in a time where you can't touch a QB or a receiver and throwing for 4000 yards is almost the league average. Back when Dan, Joe and ever before that Johnny U played, the rules were very different. When Dan Marino broke all those passing records, he didn't just break most of them, such as TD's, he shattered it by over 12 TD's. This was a time when only a handful of passers had ever broken 4000 yards a season in history. He was a once a generation passing talent. He wasn't the all around QB that Joe Montana was and didn't have the offensive master mind of Manning, which is why I put him behind them 2.

that Cam Newton draft card from a few years ago was insane. Not only could it rocket passes and be accurate, it had really great running stats as well

NFL: 1) Brady, 2) Montana, 3) Favre, 4) Peyton, 5) Marino
MUT: 99 GT RG3(20), 98 Draft Tua(20), 85 OOP Walter Payton(16), 89 Campus Hero AJ McCarron (17), 99 Draft Kyler Murray (19)
Were AJ and Payton really good? I've never personally used them before
AJ mainly makes it because I’m an Alabama fan and he’s my favorite player, Walter was back when you could have more than 1 of the same player on the field at the time and I would run triple read option with him and 2 HB Walter Payton’s. All 3 had 96 speed it was such a glitch 😂
My list for NFL:
1) Brady 2) Peyton 3) Montana 4) Favre 5) Elway
Montana wasn’t even that good
Gt Lamar was definitely not the favorite among all QBs bro
Ben over Elway and Marino? Are you mad?
Once ben career is over he will have better stats than elway, he does right now actually. And ben has 2 Superbowls over marino with 0.
I see where you are coming from, but you cant put stats over skill. If an average QB had a good team and recievers around them and put up good numbers, would that make them a top QB of all time? Elway and Marino had to do the best with what they had
Bro, Big Ben first 8 years he wasn't the QB he was now or the last 6 years.
If ben plays 1 or 2 more years he will actually surpass marino Touchdown record
But we're talking DAN MARINO and Roethlisberger. So what if Marino has no rings? Does that mean that Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson are worse than Santonio Holmes? Or Barry Sanders and Ladanian Tomlinson aren't better than Damian Williams? Can't base talent off of rings
No.... Big Ben has Rings and Stats! Marino has Stats, however Ben will surpass them next year at the earliest. How about that!
Are you seriously puting peyton over tom brady in real life? Brady has 6 Superbowl and manning has 2 and the last one his defense carried his crippled butt to a win.

Yes I am. If you actually watched Peyton Manning you would know.
I'm a Peyton fan bro. Was replying to the other dude
Peyton chokes and Brady is clutch. This is coming from a die-hard steelers fan.
Most games winning drives in history. Retired 2016. Nice try
Yeah I can tell you are a die-hard from your ranking of Big Ben over Elway and Dan Marino. Peyton is the best qb ever, no doubt. Take away Belicheck and Moss and what is Brady? Peyton was on the Colts and had minimal true HOF talent outside of his time with the Colts. On the Broncos he had Demaryius Thomas, Decker, Wes Welker, Julius Thomas, barely Emmanuel Sanders, and practically no running back. Brady has been surrounded by talent his whole career.
Eventually big ben will pass marino's passing and Touchdown number either next year or 2 years from now. Most like next year.

Bronco defense won that Superbowl for him remember that awful game he had against the Patriots the week before the Superbowl
Mine are 1. Brady 2. Montana 3. Manning 4 Marino 5 elway
I would put elway over marino. Marino was great in stats but overall elway is better and has 2 Superbowls and like 6 Superbowl appearances over marino with 0
In Madden for me it was GT Tebow, your all time list is good I'd just swap Brees and Montana. Strictly from a talent perspective I'd say Manning is the greatest ever

I can respect that list....im a bit biased for brady but i can dig it
For all time list I would swap Marino and brees to each other’s spots. But for the mut there’s no way you can put pu Cunningham in there. I had a cowboys theme team at one point and Cunningham was no where near GT Vick or let alone ultimate legend Vick
Okay so this will probably get moved, but I want to get your thoughts on the top 5 qb's of all time in the nfl, and in mut ever. (For MUT I don't remember too many amazing QB's so if i miss a few don't bully me lmao. And these are the best qb's that i have used)
In NFL:
Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Drew Brees
Joe Montana
Dan Marino
In MUT:
GT Lamar Jackson (M20)
99 PU Otto Graham (M19)
99 PU Andrew Luck (M19)
96 4OJ Joe Flacco (M16)
GT Michael Vick (M20)
