Allegedy it was Jason Garrett that really pounded the desk for this guy, So if this was the case, next time, can we just let Will McClay do his thing? and can we please stop drafting guys out of Michigan, We've drafted 9 total, 4 never made the team, one was backup and made the practice squad, 2 fell out with coaches and were cut or traded (Coincidentally the 2 1st rounders out of the 9), so the only decent ones have been Jourdan Lewis, and Thomas Stincic, and he was only good because he got traded for the pick that turned out to be Harvey Martin.

Kirk Cousins
He's like Matt Stafford, each year the team will flounder or make the Wild Card, but his stats on paper will look pretty good, Kirk last year had essentially 4,300 yards, 30 TD's, 10 INT, 99.7 Rating, Obviously the game has changed since, but those are very similar to what Peyton put up in 2003 & 2008, only Peyton turns it into a 12-4 record and wins the MVP, Kirk converts it into 8-7-1, he's really good at putting up numbers, and still managing to find the most inopportune moments to fumble or throw a pick

Just for housekeeping, Jack Tatum was never inducted in the HOF, mostly in part to the fallout of the hit on Stingley, He was a converted RB and really physically gifted player for the Buckeyes, a 1st round pick, the rest you mention; Willie Brown was undrafted and established for the Broncos in the AFL before he ever reached Oakland, The Raiders scouts were high on Ted at the draft, but they selected another lineman Art Thoms, before Don Shula converted him to LB and the Raiders traded for him much later, Howie was a 2nd rounder, their first was Ted Watts, a safety they moved to corner out of Texas Tech, who ran a 4.3, So yes, he BUILT great teams, but if they thought those three were going to be 3 bona fide HOF'ers from day one, why wouldn't you draft 2 of them yourself and run the risk of letting the third fall to the 2nd round? He definitely showed a tendancy to fall in love with the physical abilities of a player when it came to drafting, the year they took Stabler, they drafted Eldridge Dickey in the 1st before him, and converted him to a WR immediately, there's not too many instances of a team taking a QB in the 1st, moving him before ever throwing a pass, and starting the guy you took later, The only incidence where this could have happened was when the Jags took Jones, then either moved up or hope that Aaron Rodgers kept falling.

The original comment was about the Raiders getting lots of cards, so really the fact that this one is a DE is irrelevent in this instance, It was intended as a play on the long standing joke in the NFL that Al loved fast players, how most peoples comments on this site are usually in regard to speed, and jokingly construing how because of this common factor, the Raiders always get lots of cards... and a nod knowing you tend to reply to people who criticize speed on a card. Obviously he built great teams, but he's also famously known for setting up a chair at the 40 line and hand timing each guy himself, picking up athletes like Bo Robertson & Cliff Branch, at one time he had 2 Olympic Gold medalists in Ron Brown and Sam Graddy as receivers, converting Billy Cannon to a tight end from running back, drafting lineman like Henry Lawrence because he initially timed fast, obviously getting Bo's rights from Tampa when he'd gone to Baseball, even towards the end drafting guys like Heyward-Bey and Terrell Pryor... So I don't think implying he valued speed and overdrafted at times as a result is out of line, but it seems you want to take it literally, so I'll leave it at that, and good luck to you.

Of all the users that post on this site, How do you of all people when mentioning Al Davis, knowing that his whole mantra was to draft and obtain the fastest players available to him each year, Not at least take the opportunity to throw some shade by comparing him to the people on here that bitch and moan when they release a card that doesn’t have 99 speed?! This was like a layup for you!

Dak Prescott
Dak plays for the Cowboys, and the media knowing they get ratings from the fan base oversaturate and hype the team and it gets annoying for the fans of the 31 other teams, which is fair, I’m a Cowboys fan and I hate it too. Lamar is the flawed but freakishly athletic QB and people always like them, because they have the underdog mentality and they’re exciting to watch, particularly when they do well. And 3. Dak had a great rookie year and plateaued, I think Linehan’s rigid refusal to adapt to his new QB’s strengths had a lot to do with this, but Dak needs to have that year where he shows he can put the team on his back, like when Cam had his MVP season, or Carson two years ago before he got hurt, basically if he can win games as he has been but also show he’s capable of a 30+ TD season, a lot more people would be sold on him.

The Ravens got two cards for beating a glorified XFL team, the Giants are at least trying to be competitive (though how a guy breaks out a 59 yard rush and only gets handed the ball 11 times is a mystery), so what's your point? The only number his agent Todd France has floated has been 34, you can have an opinion that it's still too much (I don't particularly like it), but the market started to get messed up when Jimmy got 27.5 after starting 7 games total, so a 26 year old, 3 year starter, 30+ is probably what an agent is looking to get in the current climate, that's just giving a fair opinion though, if you're one of those guys that preaches the irrelevance of the team, yet acts like a voyuer whenever any news drops about them, I can't really help.

Malcolm Jenkins
They probably thought it was a slight overreaction after a decade in the league to make him out to be Brian Dawkins based off one play where he got a blindside hit on a receiver, that resulted in a helmet to helmet collision...

David Carr
Felt bad for him behind that Texans line, in 5 seasons he was sacked 249 times, Archie Manning who got destroyed in those awful Saints teams, in 10 seasons as a starter was sacked 338 times, Brett Favre in 19 seasons was sacked 525 times (including that gift for Michael Strahan), So if David had played for 19 seasons at the rate he set in his first 5, he'd have been sacked 946 times, and they'd have probably just put him straight into the body bag after his final game!

Nice addition to all those Iowa Barnstormers & Amsterdam Admirals theme teams out there too...
