Isn’t this tied to how the team was projected to use the player versus how they appear to be now? Remember the decision isn’t just a MUT one but impacts other play modes too. No big deal.

It’s about a few basic things. Don’t worry about E Books. They teach tricks not tools. Essentially, you need to kind of figure out what the offense is doing and call appropriate plays. Takes time to get it but the new practice tab is really useful. Just after you run a play, watch the instant replay. Who was open? Why? First step is just getting a feel for what plays to call when and understanding the strengths of your cards and weaknesses. Second is adjusting your playcalling based on the play history of the offense. Third, is making adjustments. That order will make the game easier and more meaningful than just running someone else’s adjustments to plays you don’t understand why they work or do not work.

I agree on the game being a good time. It can frustrate. Most games do. But overall, you just have to accept that MUT teams won’t feel like real football teams. Getting the best of the best cards just isn’t needed as much as having a good strategy and some very basic skills with a controller. I’m old and slow so making a myriad of adjustments just takes longer. Does spending money improve the experience, sure. But it’s like gambling (I know that is loaded when talking about packs) in the sense you just need to go in and say how much you want to invest and then stick to it. You can always buy and sell players for a cash stack after priming the pump. Very easy to overspend for less improvement than you expected. Just have fun. If you aren’t hypersensitive to everything being totally balanced and fair, you will have a great time. Welcome.

Some menus are improved quite a bit. Others are worse. Overall, I think I may prefer this new user experience. We shall see.

This is my big beef with the launch. I don’t feel like I’m getting 3 day early access to the full content of Day 1. Instead, we are getting a very stripped down set of solos and rewards. That isn’t early access. That is late beta.

Let’s be honest. Tech will always have some bugs at launch. I expect that from ANY game this massively scaled that refreshes annually. So let’s get over this idea that “I paid for perfect out of the box”. However, some things were just disappointing and poorly thought out. I’m particular, the utter lack of rewards or content for preordering. Too few solos. Too few rewards. Why not simply incorporate all the launch offers/rewards/solos into the preorder period and let it be more like we got to do what is available normally on Day 1 3 days early versus giving us a stripped down version experience for a premium price? No need to make everything “fair” and everyone get their tokens on day 1 all the same this early. But boredom upfront tied to a lack of content would have been easy to correct.

That game clock is annoying, but overall I find the game to be a much better experience this year. Love the new passing and blocking and animations.

I suspect it comes with the official launch. They disappoints me. You pay a premium price to get early access. That should come with premium access to rewards (and arguably a bonus on all rewards during that period). Instead, you play for fewer rewards. Odd business model to say the least.

I don’t mind if a game is not easy to compete from a NMS basis (you did buy the game). The question is how much money over the course of the year does it take to stay reasonably competitive. It’s not a lot unless you want to be top tier. I agree on the boycott. It’s unlikely to matter. And while the game has its flaws, it’s still more than enjoyable enough to pay a good $100+ for.

True having played the game since inception (I’m old). But. . . . Launch day is supposed to be fun and rewarding vs frustrating. It felt like I paid to be a beta tester so the real/global launch would be smoother. When you pay a premium price, you expect a premium experience. It wasn’t.
