no you dont, if he is in your starting lineup in menu and at the beginning you can sub him out no problem without changing anything. i do the same with Matthieu and it works great also works with physical front and stuff too. Chems like play maker and Secure tackler, as long as you have 1 active everyone with it starting or not will be able to work too if that helps
