OK. On the assumption that EA operate introduce Madden 21 into EA play as they have done in previous years, the following is how things work for EA Play on consoles\: 1) You do NOT have to pre-order the game in order to get access to Madden 22 via EA Play on 12th August. You simply have to have an active EA play subscription. EA adds the game to EA Play as a 10 hour trial, in advance of the game going live via early access. 2) EA drops the game into EA Play at the same time for everyone on their respective console; It is not time zone specific. In previous years the trial versions of the game has gone live during random points in the day. From memory Madden 21 went live mid-morning ET. 3) Anything you carry out in MUT during the 10 hour trial, carries over to the full version of the game you have ordered.

I finally caved this week & upgraded Morten Anderson's Power Up & added Focused Ability. It is ridiculous that the second highest overall rated player on my team is a kicker, but I simply could not take it anymore. As a new player to the game and someone who lives outside of the USA, kicking during on-line matches was just a total nightmare. Easily the best decision I have made so far this year.

This game is having a bit of a rough time at the moment. To suddenly lose animations for rewards - after a server side update - is not the best move for a game already facing numerous issues!

Unfortunately, pre-downloads are invariably not available for PS4 games released on EA Access. A PS4 pre-download usually only becomes available 48 hours before a game goes live on the PS4, which in the case of Madden is the 25th August for the Deluxe & MVP version. Microsoft allows pre-download much earlier on the Xbox, so players are usually able to pre-download a pre-order version of the game before it goes live in EA Access. We PS4 users have to wait for EA to add the game to EA Access before we can start downloading it.
