Also make sure ball hawk is turned on in the main settings. However, usering did take a major hit this year.

Nope, like others have said, you can't just spam/hold the Y or Triangle button for user picks/lurks. You have to be in position and time the jump/catch just right. I picked up on it pretty quick. I suggest you practice and do the same instead of blaming EA for making it harder. Sometimes a challenge is good and more rewarding.
