I’ve had the same 3 controllers since the very first destiny ps4 bundle came out with the glacier white ps4. And I just got the pro about a year ago and bought a scuff controller so 5 in total and they all still work perfect. The only issue I’ve had is the rubber tearing off the analog sticks so I replaced them with aluminum ones. But I try to take care of my controllers the best I can. I try to avoid playing and charging the controllers at the same time idk if it has helped prolonged the controllers life or not

Nah, I don't play many first person shooter games any longer. I'm pretty much just a MUT guy now as far as my video game go. Just not enough time.
I looked into all the ones mentioned, and some of the more expensive ones...I like the ones(there seemed to be a couple) that were similar to X-Box controllers as I'd always had X-Box before I got a PS4, but after reading reviews, it sounds like, especially if you just play Madden, it wasn't really worth it. Ordered a regular PS4 controller for 50 bucks from Amazon.
Go to best buy get insurance on your controller and u can return no questions. Btw it doesn't matter if its smashed or buttons missing they will give u a brand new one.

I have the Scuf Vantage (wireless), its basically a Xbox controller that is PlayStation certified. It had minor flaws when it first came out but Scuf claims that they have been fixed. I like it because I can remap the buttons to make audibles quicker and its a good controller if you have big hands. Two big flaws are that the left joystick gets stuck in the top left corner and that the wireless connection lags. I recommend research on it because Scuf controllers don't have a long life span.

ive been looking into those for about a month are they worth it? is there much of a difference as far as button response

I tend to stick to the Sony controllers, mostly because I like the form factor. They are a good fit for my hands.
For the sticks there are pads you can get to put on them that will prevent the stock padding from coming off.
Its funny, my ps4 controller is about a year old and some buttons seem to be less responsive. My last one lasted like 3 years. Not tried better ones. I know for a fact some of the cheaper knockoff ones are bad.
Quote from Scourge00165 >> Anyone spend the extra money and go with another brand, or did you just stick with the regular 50 buck PS4 controller? I've gone through 3 in...3 years or so. The last one in about 6 months. They still work, but not for playing games. The buttons aren't real responsive, the rubber's coming off the joysticks. So I'm just looking and curious if anyone has an opinion either way.
there's a Japanese brand Hori that is officially licensed by Sony and the controllers are pretty badass. You can get a wired modded controller from them and since ps4 controls turn off their wifi when hardwired u get faster button responses. You can tune the triggers on the modded controller and they are in the $40-60 range and they sell fighting controllers, FPS controllers, modded controllers all officially licensed by Sony. Check them out.
