How to 99 overall
Get his 77 power up card and use training to power him up and then insert the 98
Some players that are 97 or more likely 98s go to 99s simply by putting chems on them, or you can power them up which involves buying the pu and using pu passes or other versions of their cards along with training to upgrade them to get them to a gold 99 for the 98s, powering a guy up also allows you to put physical chems such as sprinter or brawler on them to help with speed/strength/jumping ect
okay, but how did I get a 99 clowney with the free agency card...

Chemistry. Some cards are closer to the next overall point than others and some chemistries do more to push a plauyer's overall up. Most running backs won't go up with just scheme chemistry, you may need team chems and physical chems and team scheme chems to get even +1, as is the case with my Leonard Fournette.

Nope, you can see what attribute ratings chemistries will boost but they won't show impact on overall until you actually add them in-lineup.
Any 98 card fully powered up will become a gold 99.
Guys, stupid question but I rellay cant find it - how to get someone like say Color Smash Barry Sanders to 99 Overall? What to activate for this? I am lost and confess probably blind...
