How is that a "scum kick"?  So in your mind any kick that isn't straight down the middle to your best returner is a scum kick?  It's my understanding that a scum kick is one step from the sideline and if you catch it you run out of bounds not a kick that is 20 yards from being out of bounds.  The perfect "scum kick" would have the receiver catch the ball at the one and run out of bounds in the end zone for a safety.
