Priority by position building up your new MUT20 Team

 True. If you have a good defense, and you know how to make play calls/audibles on offense, then you shouldn't need amazing people to throw to or run with to put up some points.

Yup, agree with QB then CB as top two, has pretty much always been that way IMHO.

My 2 cents, offense is obviously important but defense is king. You need a team who can stop an opponent putting up points.

I make a list of all gold and silver budget beasts and start with that.

After playing a lot of salary cap this is what I value 1 - QB - in solos mobiles throw dots so a bad one will do, h2h you need one that hits accuracy thresholds 2 - WR - 2 fast ones and 1 jump ball 4 - DBs- need an army of fast ones that hopefully hit the thresholds 3-  HB -  an elite receiving  and a budget power back

These positions don't matter much I use budget the entire year 1- O line barely matter bcuz block sheds are random.. just make sure they are within 20 pts to prevent insta wins.. size and strength good for budget 2- D line block sheds are random most important thing is speed so if they are lucky enough to get a block shed they will make it count 3-  LBs- fast is most important don't waste coins here so many budget, scheme will get you stops 4- TE - any fast TE will do

get all the skill players first then fillers. i usually go by this but not in order.

this year i've been lucky enough to get a strong start just playing solos. got rewarded with an elite QB and WR to start with so I focused on defense 1st

     I can respect/understand that. I run a pass heavy offense which is why I want a good QB and a WR1/good o-line first, and then I like a physical defense, so then I'll get my D-lineman and some good corners who are great at man coverage. I don't user much, but when I do it's either the MLB or the d-line. No one else.

You have to upgrade them all anyway, so I just take them as I get them.  Usually, I will hoard my early coins until I can buy a top line QB.  Then I go after CB's.

I must be doing it all wrong. I go for DE'S, Safties and corners first before doing my RB, QB and WR. Linebackers after that as I'll normally user the saftey in big nickel (no, I don't sub in a safety at LB.) The first person I'll be going for this year though, is Derwin James!!!

For me?

1. QB/MLB- Gotta be strong here no matter what. A bad QB and a slow user is going to take you no where.   
2. Secondary- With the amount of time it takes for a 4 man rush to get home you need to be able to cover.  
3. Weapons- Having guys who can make plays is very crucial.  
4. D-Line- Stopping the run is important because Madden has this thing where guys won’t shed at times. Pass rush too but let’s be honest unless you run glitches guys aren’t getting home.   
5. Kicker- The earlier you get in field goal range the better.   
6. O-Line- They block or they don’t   
7. Punter- Who punts?

Speedy DBs, quality skill guys on offense, then the rest of defense

My order would be:

1- QB        2- WR 3- MLB     4- CBs  5- FS         6- SS 7- DEs/OLBs (Scheme dependent)       8-DT 9- RB       10-TE 11- guards   12- tackles 13-C         14-K 15-P

Depending on my pulls from initial packs this order could change. I’m more pass heavy so I don’t worry about my RB initially, but I make sure to either PU a Steelers RB part way or get a budget beast speed or power back. I like having my MLB and safety upgrades early for upgrades to my user positions. CBs are important upgrades early on so you can hit the thresholds (assuming there are thresholds again). Then I move to my pass rushers and find a run stuffing DT. Then I finish off offensive skill positions before filling out my oline and then special teams. Another change to my upgrade order might come if a certain aspect of the game seems OP at the start (I.e. pass rush or zone thresholds). I’ll shift my order to help that area out while it’s still OP. Whatever cards I get from packs just goes to my lineups unless they're stupid expensive cards

At the beginning of the game? Get what cost effective beasts you can regardless of position to run solos, because good players are good players, especially since early on, most of what you're facing is Bad Players- a beast RB/speed WR seem most pertinent to knocking those out.
