is anyone absolutely certain as to what they do and how they affect performance?
I have heard that FMV and PMV are only useful when usering the D line, which no one does, and blockshed and traits are the only thing that matters (obv along with speed, acceleration etc). I have heard that PMV is important for taking on double teams and FMV important for pass rushing while NOT usering. I just want to know what the deal is bc I have yet to find a clear answer.
Additionally - I can't recall who undertook the testing, but the testing revealed that PMV gets to the QB faster than FMV - but FMV beats the OLine more often than PMV. Take that for what you will.
Clint Oldenburg at EA has said that pass rush traits don't matter to outcomes, just what animation is seen.
Quote from Acura2NV >> This game doesn’t always make sense and can definitely get crazy at times so don’t rely on attributes and what they mean all the time but here’s a good breakdown imo
Power Move - The players ability for using strength to over power the offensive line. Increases ability to use bull rush move player trait. Determines win/loss/super-loss on power-move attempts, used vs. Pass Block rating Finesse Move - The players ability to use swim move and spin move player traits against the offensive line. Finesse move-groups are: Spin, Swim, Hand Knock-Down, Speed Rush. Determines the max time taken to perform successful finesse move.

When the offensive engages in a block, how fast the player will be able to get free to pursue the ball carrier. Also determines the success versus run-block double teams and win/loss chance versus cut blocks in combination with physical rating.

What about players who have high FMV, but don't have swim or spin move traits? Do the traits give the animations regardless of the rating, or is there a benefit to having both?
if you want to get even more technical... you want to see what your DLs fmv/pmv is versus the OLs PBK + PBP/PBF for pass plays and the RBK + RBP/RBF for runs.
find the weak stats in the OL and try to make a pmv/fmv mismatch!
but sadly... it all feels the same haha. just be over 90+ in stats and call it a day.

This is what I figured, but have heard so many different things about it. I think this is correct though

No they matter as long as you wanna get to the QB. If they are above 90 then you’re golden.
