OVR is inflated in some cards, it's specific stats and traits that count. If you played me, I'd go nickel and put Taylor Mays on Kelvin and trust me, he wouldn't be "shitting" on him....but yes, OVR can be inflated by any number of meaningless stats
Overall makes you feel good nothing else. 96 LT and 97 Mack are the best OLB pass rushing tandem over 99 alternatives, for example.

Say it with me now, "Overall in Madden 20 is a made up number." Seriously, Overall basically means three things:
1) The Quicksell value of the card
2) How many chems you can put on the card
3) What abilities you can put on the card
I don’t know if the last 20 games I’ve played the dudes have just sucked, or if it’s just how that player is coded into the game or it’s the play book and package I’m using but Kelvin “Many McDoubles” Benjamin is a straight up glitch. In the spread playbook there is a formation package that puts your number 4 WR at TE so because I always move Benjamin to TE in franchise mode I started using the spread book in MUT so I could use him as a TE and he’s catching everything, he’s shit on Kuechly, Shaz, Lewis, Urlacher, Kendricks... IDK if it’s because the game is registering it as a mismatch but it’s made red zone TDs stupid easy
