is there really no way to prevent the spam on here?

because I just reported three and half pages of spam threads. I know this site is dead but jeez hahaha. also, does me reporting them actually help the process of deleting them? regardless, the mods do a great job of deleting them in a timely fashion. nothing against you guys of course. just wish we could put an end to this...
