Will having too good of a team at launch make the game less fun for Solo/NMS?

I don't enjoy H2H at all. I mainly play the game for the team building aspect through objectives, etc. This game is almost like an RPG to me completing tasks and deeds to slowly watch my stats and abilities improve through grinding the game. Below is going to be my team on day 1, using just the RP's and Pre-Order bonus'. I know I could just not use them, but we all know that's not going to happen. I do feel like this could truly test my love for MUT as the most exciting time of the year for me (launch) might not be nearly as rewarding. Anyone else feeling similar?

Well, with Josh Allen actually being an 83 OVR on account to false advertising by EA, and Rookie Premiers not dropping for at least another week plus, I guess "having too good of a team" won't be a problem for you in '24. That is, if we could actually log on and play. RIP.

And I decided since I couldn't play MUT 24 I would log in to MUT 23 and rip TVP, and they took TVP away. THAT is the shit that they are worried about, no wonder tonight was an epic disaster. I bought maple nut goodies and everything. The new Assassin's Creed is supposed to be pretty good.

Removing the TVP from 23 is one of the crazier things they’ve done - like you said, let’s not focus on a successful launch of 24, let’s go back and remove features from 23 😂

I’m looking forward to that too… loved Origins and Odyssey, didn’t really enjoy Valhalla, and the new one definitely looks more like the previous releases.

This game is so coded that your team is going to be matched up against anybody with those cards you’re not gonna have an advantage if that’s what anyone is thinking 🤷‍♂️so playing offline should be fine unless you’re going up against legend tier in solo battles which is definitely cranked up

Did you read the post you're replying to?

I did 👍

I will have pretty similar lineup, without Hutchinson. Made only 29/32. But it will work. BTW, started RP chase with 3.2 mil coins and then grinded the sets slowly while selling off or QSing my team. Did a lot of TVP. Left with 100K and tons of binder trash. They really should let us QS that crap.

GoodBizBrand

Idk man I think it’s great. Not a lot of people had 13-16 million laying around at the end of this year to do all the sets. I’m definitely not spending as much money in 24. I usually spend 100-200 at the beginning but I might not need to spend anything. 4600 points should be enough. We will see

Solo battles are pure DDA so the better the team the harder the solo.

You know I’ve had a different experience this last year. The better my team got, the easier the SBs. I found them much harder in the beginning than after I hit 90 OVR.

It gives flexibility to focus on specific cards, so you could target a high card for the team you're building and not feel like you're struggling by not spreading the wealth around a bit. Even at 84, Madden has become more and more of an ability dependent game. If there is some sort of Superstar program at the start of the year with some sort of baked in abilities on players, the RPs could be rapidly outpaced by content dropping.

gbwisc

I think you are going to find that the 84's are statted very poorly and that low 80's cards will be substantial upgrades to the "free" RPs.

moondoggy

That will be interesting to watch.

I think you'll still have fun because you'll be able to chase the players you want to play with. Having a serviceable team will be helpful.

You shouldn't have finished so many RPs & taken all those pre order offers. Now you have a team that's ready to win day one. Far far from ground zero.

moondoggy

Since EA is not known for its generosity, I think the advantages of those 84 OVRs will be small, as gbwisc pointed out above.

They I have a feeling they might be kinda mid. For other sinister reasons........

I don't think so...I think it will give you options. The opportunity to build your team the way you want a little quicker...the ability to make some coin...@Ballsy's idea is one I will be considering.

Steelcurtain_86

Nice team looks like my team. It should make solos and Solo battles easier. You should be competitive in h2h, your team will have a chance with the whales in the first two weeks. Depending on your scheme should be set for the whole month of august and September.

Ballsy

Just do what I do and sell/quicksell all of your cards always in hopes of hitting the jackpot in the slots store. Never ending team building opportunities for you this way.

Lol. Not good advice
