Was watching a Popular Stranger video playing an older version of MUT and he was pointing out how all of his cards had the same quick sell value of 500 coins, even the 95 he had in his binder.
If that was to happen again, cards wouldn't hold any significant value for more than a couple of weeks, because if they aren't viable options for the average team as is, without power ups they're basically worthless.
One other downside to getting rid of power ups would be having the "light" version of a card no longer being a thing. Running a 49ers theme team last year, I know that I was running the Fred Warner MLB powered up to an 86 for quite a while before I actually bought the core elite.
The obvious answer to the questions above is everything will once again just go into sets, but will that be able to co-exist in an NCAT world? Hopefully the cards still QS for training and training is still able to be used throughout the year to roll into other, more viable/valuable cards.
