From what I've gather in testing all of these abilities (Edge Threat, Double or Nothing, Bull Rush) they all actually do exactly what the description says and most people don't realize it.
Edge Threat makes your players ATTEMPT dominant pass rush moves.
Double of Nothing grant a pass rush WIN for two points
Bull Rush grants a pass rush WIN with max points
The problem with these is that you can have edge threat causing your player to ATTEMPT a move but doesn't WIN and with bullrush and double or nothing you will WIN IF your player ATTEMPTS a rush move. But I've noticed that the CPU doesn't perform rush moves enough. Most none ability pressure is from a disengage or a blockshed pressure not rush moves which is why unpredictable lights up so much.
If you put Edge Threat and Double or Nothing or Bull Rush on a edge rusher (because Edge Threat won't work form the inside) it will ATTEMPT and WIN at a very high rate especially if you pass commit. It's the only way to be sure your guy will both ATTEMPT and WIN on a pass rush move.
It's a lot of points and not containing your outside rusher is going to get you killed by Escape Artist so I don't think I would recommend it. But for anyone who doesn't quite understand how and why they light up sometimes and not others. This is how I understand and think it works.
