How Much Do RB Traits Factor into Carrying?

My guess would be substantially? So I’ve used both Fred Taylor and LG Blount as my RBs. In over 400 carries, Taylor has 6 fumbles in H2H. In over 600 carries, Blount has 0. Yes, 0. All of this while Taylor has superior strength and carrying despite giving up about 22 pounds (listed at 228 which is still on the bigger side for an RB). The only logical reason I could think of is the “brace for all hits” trait that Taylor posses while Blount has “brace for medium hitters”. Does anyone else find this to be a little ridiculous? Taylor actually weighs 1 pound more than Bo Jackson as well and it seems he fumbles way more. It’s just odd to me that so much of an RB’s ability to absorb big hits comes down to that trait and not their ratings.
