I only play 2 games, so my experience is very limited here. The Show has a ton of content and at least 50% of it is had for free, just by doing sets and playing. The Show has as much if not more than MUT does. I think MUT has plenty of content and updates though... unless your playing like it's your full time job... it's plenty. Look at all the content the last 2 weeks... whoever can say it's not enough needs to consider doing something with their life. I play what I consider to be a lot and I can't keep up with all of it.
I keep myself sane from madden by having a rotation of like 4-5 games lol. Overwatch, smite(free), nhl 22, halo infinite except that’s already boring to me lol, Diablo 3. I was actually looking forward to jumping on madden and grinding some levels in the new season but nope, I’ll just play something else until they get it right smh
With all due respect, thats an extremely dense interpretation of what MyTeam offers in defense of EA... MyTeam constantly churns out content at a pace that absolutely obliterates EA. Haven't played it this year, but they push out 3 or 4 promos a week just off top. They constantly push out solos with great rewards that instantly make your team competitive with the best in the game when you grind them out. Spotlight challenges, Domination challenges, Limited, Unlimited, Triple Threat online and offline, Weekly challenges, and the list goes on and on... There's always something to do and something to grind for and the seasons are GUARANTEED to refresh every 30 days with new prizes and rewards that are the meta when you get them. There's never any dead periods or unexpected delays. It's constant content and always things to do. And let's not even discuss gameplay lol... 2K is responsive and attentive to the community.
EA isn't even sniffing MyTeam's level of content, EVER. They should have been taking notes if they weren't so busy counting their money on the 3 days they actually show up to work each week.

Your delusional.... MUT is miles ahead of my team in revenue, so why would they want to take notes? I love when you guys bash EA and how dumb they are... anybody who thinks a company earning over a billion dollars a year in revenue is dumb needs get out of moms basement and see how life works. Not only that, but myteam is not putting out more content than MUT.... open your eyes.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Do you actually play myteam? Like actually play it? They put damn near 30+ new cards in game EVERY WEEK. Consistently. There is never a dull moment in 2k. You can have a dull moment in Madden every 30 minutes. 2k is running laps around EA as far as content goes. NFL 2K5 is still a better core football gaming experience than Madden 22 is. EA can't compete with 2k if they wanted to. Don't even get me started on that sad ass NBA Live shit. There's a reason why EA holds the monopoly. I guarantee if 2k were able to make a simulation NFL game, Madden would follow the same demise as NBA Live. Why you think they took the whole Seasons format from them? And couldn't even copy that right.

...but here you are every single day doing something you think sucks. Your life must be a real bag of fun! Seriously though.... explain to me why people like you and the guy above spend so much time doing something that is so pathetic... wouldn't that just make you more pathetic?
I'm not even wasting my time replying to that shit ass comment of yours. Carry on. Feel free to downvote this post of mine aswell. Only sense of worth you can cling to. You go boy.
Oh also, how pathetic are you to make a comment about a game that you don't even play? You clearly said you only play MLB and Madden. Buddy went coo coo for cocoa puffs I see. Clown. Damn I just wasted my time

Profit between the modes has less to do with a signifier of success and more to do with one audience being masochistic gluttons for punishment who are forced to spend money to compete and happily oblige. As I said, 2K players can build competitive teams without spending a dime because their mode is much more rewarding through various challenges and online modes. The only space where the revenue generated equates to "better" is on the corporate level. Thats not what we're talking about. As evident by the majority of the posts on this forum - that revenue generated means jack shit when it comes to the quality of their product. Madden objectively sucks, regardless of the money they con people out of every year. They take months to fix bugs and glitches, they can't adhere to their own deadlines, and they are the only group of developers that I know of that take 3 weeks off every year, and again, this is with them knowing their game is still broken and they haven't released content that was already overdue. Make it make sense.
And you just posted above that you only play MUT and MLB, so how do you know anything about 2K or MyTeam outside of numbers like revenue, which again, means nothing in the scope of quality of product? You don't. I have played both for the duration of the product cycle for the last X amount of years, and the experience is not even close... 2K's game is better, the gameplay is better, the developers care and are responsive to the community, they fix bugs and glitches within days (NOT MONTHS, IF EVER), and again, their content never leaves their player base waiting for anything. There are constant grinds for outstanding rewards available, be it online or offline. And they stick to their deadlines. Period. It's no contest.
Part of the mess Madden and EA are in now is because, much like you, all they look at is the bottom line... not customer experience or satisfaction. And thats why they continue to miss the mark and oversell and underdeliver more and more year after year. But, I wouldn't expect someone who admittedly only plays 2 games but felt compelled to speak on one they haven't to know any better. Enjoy caping for EA and nice mom's basement burn... I remember 6th grade well. I bet that kills at recess.

....but still here you are everyday. EA isn't going to change because they are making money hand over fist, so you might as well give up and go play a much better game like myteam.
I'm here because I love football. And for us adults, our opportunities to play slobberknocking, physical, real-life football is over, so our next best option is to play virtually. It's not our fault we're subjected to their shit product because they cornered the market with an illegal monopolization of the sport in gaming.
Do you now want to debate the merits of how monopolies are good for a free market and how EA has demonstrated it time and again with their superior product quality?

Will 2K be dropping 100's of players and solos and sets with lots of free cards with rewards tiers and presents to be opened on Christmas Morning? Nope. They aren't doing shit. Like usual.
Okay. So name some of that content. What did 2K do for Halloween and Thanksgiving? What was their Playoffs and Finals promo like last year? What about their draft promo? What are the sets like? What solos are there to do right now? I play 2K as much as MUT, I know what there is and is not. Just tell me what I'm missing though, so I can do that instead. Examples bro.
I'm not playing it this year, but I know from past years they dont need huge promos on holidays because they see constantly putting out content daily throughout the week, every week. They don't need a holiday to force them to push garbage out with fancy new animations for each promo to sucker degenerates into forking over thousands of dollars to keep their team competitive. If the model is the same as it has been in the past (and I suspect it is because I still play park and rec and see the ads for promos) they're putting out near double digit number of cards multiple days of the week, every week. EA puts out 5 on Monday (although they just started this), 3-5 usable players on Tuesday, 5 on Wednesday, and 2 LTDs that are almost impossible to pull on Thursdays. And most of all of that is recycled garbage that they copy and paste from the year before. It takes zero planning or forethought. 2K doubles those numbers weekly and that's not including actual yearly/seasonal/event drops.
But, I'm not here to argue. You made this thread with your mind already made up about how you feel, so it's not my job to try convince you otherwise. If you see nothing wrong with how EA is operating, so be it. I have played both games and KNOW which one is objectively more satisfying to play... but to each their own.

I’ll be playing Witcher and AC Valhalla throughout December which I’ve been playing more than Madden anyways, and God of War if I can somehow trade these Xbox’s to fund the purchase!
I'm used to the madden content and the amount isn't my biggest gripe. Content has gone down hill for sure. Totw was alot better in 20 than now. You got promos into June pre pandemic, now they do their best to close shop as early as possible. They have no timetable for anything, and when they do, it's delayed because they aren't good at their jobs. If they could make promises and keep those promises, they'd be in a far better place.
Lol, I find myself jumping into Fortnite with my kids this time of the year. They just got a whole new map, so should be fun!
Sounds crazy to us EA Madden players, but they actually released this new season (or chapter or whatever) earlier than the players expected.

Actually, yeah, Fortnite is back in its rare phase of being really good, worth a try rn.
The new map is awesome. It has the Chapter 1 feel along with outstanding graphics.
MLB The Show is dropping another inning this week. They usually have new content every 2-3 days. They even have timers counting down to them (to the exact second). They don't keep delaying content like MUT does.
Madden needs to take notes from how the show treats the community. Full transparency and no delays
Idk honestly but maybe just try too play other games and see how they are
Since Madden doesn't have enough content. I'm trying to get ideas of what games I can play this month that will have more updates and overall content than Madden.
Last year in 2K21 MyTeam we got an awesome 83 OVR Michael Jordan FOR FREE!!!! There was no Christmas promo BTW (besides new packs in stores) It's not quite Zero Chill, but it's an 83 OVR Michael Jordan that isn't auctionable, exchangeable or quicksellable!
No other game I played regularly had any updates at all. So instead of just downvoting me, give me some actual examples of the games you are playing that will have anywhere near as much new content as what Zero Chill will be so I can waste my free time doing that instead. Thank you. :)
