Everybody has been begging for the MUT Database to come out ever since their surprise EARLY REVEAL STREAM, and it's still not out.
Instead we went through a week of bare bones reveals on stream and if not for MutLeaks, would be going on almost a week without any big news about the game that at the latest drops TOMORROW. Why start the year off teasing us about how you're ready to show us what you've got early, and then everything else after that be late?
Madden 22 was trending today on Twitter, because literally EVERY content creator is begging for them to release the trial a day early, like they do seemingly every year, and now they're not going to release it until tomorrow. They even posted on their website that is was LIVE today. Why would they not analyze the current mood in the community via social media and just release the game now, even if they never intended to release it until tomorrow? Is it not ready?
I know, I know, it was never scheduled to be out until tomorrow, but do they really want everyone's first experience with this game to be disappointment? Not only did they NOT release the database this last weekend, when it would've generated some hype around the game that we're all itching for, but now any casual fan who is considering playing MUT for the first time is going to be introduced to it by a bunch of Madden YouTubers putting out very somber and disappointing videos about how we have to wait another day, and Madden Streamers playing MLB The Show 21 tonight on Twitch.
Far be it from me to tell EA what to do, as they've been pretty successful, but this just all puts a bad taste in my mouth, and I'm one of the fan boys. I can't imagine the field day the people who hate EA are going to have with all this.
EA surely knows that if they put it out a day early last year, and the year before, etc. then surprise us with an early reveal stream, that the expectation is going to be that it comes out before advertised. If they didn't plan on that happening, they should've made it clear on one of the 40 different twitter handles they have for Madden that it will not be out early this year. Terrible communication between EA and the community.
