I think it is a difference. I definitely notice guys like Aeneas and Nnamdi got burnt a lot more without full sprinter. I heard acceleration means nothing awhile back and didn't believe it but now I think that may be correct.
Big difference at the higher levels. Usually hit 18 WL wins and this week not even close from downgrading some key positions to 98.

Thx all. I like to hear what others think. I’m going to try out shaker. To be honest, I didn’t really notice a huge difference from 98 to 99 myself. But ppl make such a big deal out of it. I’ve never loved the idea of taking acceleration, agility and or change of direction away from a player for one speed. Never made sense to me.

All that matters is who you are playing and whether the CPU wants them to catch you. My 98 speed RG3 got tracked down from behind by Clowney last night…Clowney might as well have had 110 speed.
The difference is unnoticeable. But that's not gonna stop some people on here from saying one player's elite and the other players a bum for not achieving the max.
Thx. Spd w a theme team is a nice bump but u can’t cherry pick guys just based on Spd w team considerations. I just felt like 1 Spd bump might not be worth losing to agility and to change of direction and running backs, receivers and secondary players. But it always seem like the pro players would not give up one speed for almost anything. I was just curious if anyone had tested this out a little bit to see what the significance really is. Also, I wasn’t sure if it there was a bit of an additional bump when u hit 99.
Personally, I do not think it makes a difference. a 90 vs. a 99 yes. 98 vs. 99 no.
I prioritize agility and COD far more than just speed.
To paint this picture my analogy is based on real players: Would you rather have John Ross or Julio Jones? One has super speed
I think it is negligible...bigger issue on defense if running man vs zone, but again...not a big thing. I have never lost a game because my 98 speed cards were abused...never had my 99s blow by 98s like they were standing still. Good thing is you can try it yourself as we get a 90% refund if you decide to cash out. My bet is the +1 might make a difference at the highest levels, but for the common MUT player I think...no big. Play who you want and have fun with it.
Deciding between sprinter and shaker with a Browns theme theme. How much of a difference do you notice between 98 and 99 speed? In my situation, sprinter would give me 4 to 5 more players with 99 speed rather than 98, but it would obviously lower the Agility and change of direction. The opposite would b true w shaker. These players r all skill position guys on O & D. Interested to hear your opinions.
