In/Out routes are complete trash on next gen.

I don't care if receivers don't make a perfect 90 degree cut in real life on every out/in route, like they do on the PS4 madden. There is so much about this game that isn't realistic, so why does EA give a fuck about these routes? These rounded in and out routes are fucked. Last night I had Diggs running them, and they are almost like running a corner route, instead of a cut to the sideline, he basically runs a deep corner route. On PS4 with route tech, in/out routes are automatic man cover beaters... On PS5 they are INTs. If EA wants a more realistic game they should focus on the presentation side of things such as the correct sounds/noises/music for each stadium, mascots, cheerleaders, sideline reporters, sideline personal, jumbotron animations, halftime shows, post game shows, and less time fucking up routes.

Seems like you’re just not used to next gen timing yet

Dante88

Yeah I notcied that too when I played it. Completely fucks up my timing lol

jonezy

You complaining a lot bro, you good? They have a PS4 version for ps5 if you wanna switch, just have to download it

flwhitey18

I'm good boss. Thanks for asking. Just airing my dirty laundry. Basically only play this game, love football, love this game, it ain't perfect, but a lot of shit is frustrating.

jonezy

Yeah I feel you complaining brotha. Shits stupid hopefully NCAA ain’t like this I might throw the football games out

flwhitey18

I hope NCAA is different, but since it's EA, probably gonna be about the same thing. These motherfuckers at EA are lazy as hell. Same franchise mode year after year... shit they couldn't even bother to change the graphic shown when logging into H2H mode on MUT, for a split second you see Odell and Jarvis graphic flash from last year before the titans pic pops up over it. Just imagine if EA listened to community feedback and actually made real tweaks to the game year after year. This game isn't perfect, but just some minor changes here and there could make it so much better. Imagine if a different studio could make NFL games... The graphics, the presentation, the gameplay, etc. Everything would be better than what EA had done year after year. They basically put out the same product every year with no true updates/features, and us diehard football fans have to play it cause it's the only NFL game on the market. Hoping Madden 22 next gen is different, they've had more than enough time to develop a real next gen experience, rather than what they did with this version... Which was basically polish up the PS4 version.

Next gen is trash in general man

flwhitey18

There is so much it does right, but the things it does wrong, it does wrong in a big way. The routes as I mentioned. The broken zones. Aggressive running turned on, with no increased fumble odds. I like the user speed, and how it's basically impossible to cover the whole field. But the acceleration of the players is garbage on next gen too. Takes them forever to hit top speed. Making me wanna download PS4 and switch back. Lol

Who cares about presentation if the game sucks. We won't get a good football game until the nfl cuts ties with ea and makes it an open market, but the presentation side is the last thing to worry about

flwhitey18

I agree. I don't care about the presentation. What Im saying is if EA wants a more "realistic NFL experience", those things would be time better spent improving instead of fucking up these routes.

homeschooled5

True, they're like the one person who tries to help, but just hurts everything, lol.

Actually an almost 90 degree cut on out routes/in is completely possible. I was a WR in HS/college. We ran the route tree daily. Out routes were a dead sprint ~10 yards, stop on a dime, cut, and dead sprint to the sideline. Were we making perfect 90 degree cuts, sometimes especially if you were running routes on the field lines, but we sure as fuck weren't turning them into some rounded out BS that had you floating 3-5 yards down the field from your cut. And I was not a great WR, so if you don't think an NFL caliber receiver is capable of running these routes when my broke ass could, you need an education. Now do some NFL WRs get a little lackadaisical with their routes, sure, especially against zone when no one is near them... But in man coverage, no way, a hard cut with acceleration out of the cut is the best way to create separation.
