Why don’t stats matter in madden anymore

They really don’t tho. Because DBs close gaps on the WRs like they are standing still and swat it away, ball swat is also way to over powered wideouts have the ball in their hands going to the ground with the ball the DB boxed out and they somehow always get the knock out
It’s all one big scam my friend. I have cbs and safety’s at 97 to 99 zone and I swear they play the same as any card I had in that postion all year . These are numbers to get you to think it’s a better card than what u have but in reality it’s not . My 99 carry henry has fumbled more times in salary cap then in MUT and why is that ? Players are supposedly weaker right ? All modes get a “ maintenance “ meaning those cards are just downgraded in tiers so your new cards feel new when yet there playing no different than when MUT first started. This all fir one reason ... To keep players happy if one side dominated then most would give up so they have it that basically everyone has a chance
It’s honestly more frustrating with QBs, Guys like Cam Newton with a high carry fumble constantly when IRL most QBs hardly ever actually fumble even when they don’t slide, mean while guys like Ahman Green who was an amazing HB but was very fumble prone hardly ever fumbles. This franchise since madden 25 has been nothing short of a giant slap in the face followed by a giant middle finger to not only the game of football but to all the madden fans
So I have Eric Kendricks catching boosted to the 80s and I like to sub in my MLB in the red zone at TE and he’ll be wide open an just drop it, where as I can have a sliver TE with low 60s catching and won’t drop anything. Literally rating do not matter. There’s a package in a certain defensive playbook that lets you sub a WR in at FS I use a 99 ovr Stafon Diggs because he’s boosted to 99 in all catching stats and has 97 speed he’ll have the ball thrown right to him and drop it I don’t understand what’s the point of ratings if they don’t matter. Back in the early 00s maddens stats actually mattered
