Most of the advantages are actually in rapid preplay adjustments. For those of us with lots of adjustments who are extremely fast it can be possible to do it so fast where the game does not pick up the adjustment, which screws up your defense.
I have a PS4 Pro with Sata III and installed a Samsung 860 pro; so I do not have the above problem. Everything is extremely smooth for me.
Not shocking that you play like this... wannabe pro cheeser style. So tight bro
how did you so this? get the samsung 860 pro installed?
Pop the case, remove existing HDD, install SDD. Download ps4 boot files onto a usb stick from a computer. Insert stick into ps4 and turn on. Follow onscreen instructions.
Pretty simple.
found this. sounds about right

Not sure how it gives you an advantage if there’s no crossovers between consoles.
Pretty sure if you play the ps4 version on ps5 you're playing against people who have a ps4.
That’s not what Kraelo said yesterday on GMM...
He was talking about the NEXT GEN VERSION OF THE GAME. If you play the old gen on new gen, you can play against people on old gen.
i think as long as both consoles play the same game they play on the same servers. only when the next gen madden is available the new consoles have different servers.
The Series S MAYBE for $300 - but I sure ain't dropping no $500 for the Series X.
It’s definitely a huge difference I don’t know if it gives you a advantage but I hope so lol
I definitely thinks this makes a difference. When I move from PC/video card at 30/60 FPS to my gaming rig - 4K TV PC/1080Ti. I get anywhere from 120 -175 FPS during game play. I notice a huge difference in response. Snatching thing ahead of users. I'm also hard wired, on fios. So all that can make a difference too. But using the same connection, comparing gameplay. It's not close. See this blog for settings for PC gamers. https://fpsindex.com/madden-nfl-21-pc-best-graphics-settings-for-no-online-lag-fps-boost-performance-guide/

from what i understand madden can only go 60 fps no matter what you are on, but I agree pc does feel smoother.
The origin ingame FPS counter shows as a overlay.
my pc runs 240-300 fps, but I don't think it's actually able to get that fps level from the madden server itself, your machine is running that, not the game, is what it looks like people are saying on forums etc? I was interested in that topic as well, mine actually stutters at high framerates, 240hz monitor, rtx 2080, and i7-8700k, have you seen any info on the topic? i'd like to get it figured out.

How about in the auction house? Can you snipe more due to faster load time?
Sounds like justification for a $500 purchase.
I never need justification for something I buy . If I can’t afford it I don’t buy it . Just saying I doubt Madden is justifying people buying PS5 lol
Well Kraelo put Op’s theory to rest yesterday. You’re only playing other guys on the same console. No advantage.

Wait... I might be ignorant, or maybe a memo I missed. if next gen stats are going to affect and create different archetypes. It only makes sense that ps5 and Xbox x play against players of the same console. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
Next gen and current gen will share the same AH, but next gen will only play next gen in H2H and such.
There are two separate games of madden 21 this year.
The m21 that's currently available and backwards compatible for new gen consoles.
And m21 next gen which will be only able to be played on next gen and doesn't release until Dec 4.
There's a huge difference between Xbox One/One S to One X. Game feels laggy and studders on older Xbox Ones compared to my One X. Cannot imagine what it will be like on Series S/X.
How is it an advantage if the person you're playing has the same?
Obviously it's not an advantage if you're playing against someone who also has a PS5. It's an advantage when you're playing against someone who has a ps4 or ps4 pro.
I don't think it's going to be cross play brother. You play people on ps5, and only ps5.
Im playing ps4's madden on my ps5. The ps5 is backwards compatible to play ps4 games. I'm pretty sure that everyone playing madden for ps4 will play together
Hmm, maybe so, but from how I understood it once it updates on the 4th that's not how it will be. I figure ea will dump last gen onto the servers they just closed for older maddens and have the new gen on its own. As is, it's exactly the same game just with a higher frame rate isn't it?
The game feels smoother and more responsive on next gen. It feels like I'm hitting my WRs a little faster and jumping routes a little more quickly. Not a big difference, but enough to notice. I've gotten more picks since getting my PS5. No fps drops.
I think having the more powerful console gives you an edge in H2H
