its called a cover 3 beater. you occupy backside safety with a vertical route and flood the other deep third with a 2 deep route combo, switch your defense up, or man up the beater receiver or just adjust your coverage drops
This, every zone or even man scheme is weak against something. With the right route combos Cover 3 is gonna bite on the verticals leaving other routes combo'ed with them open. Your secondary is dropping back into their zone just focused on the wrong route.
Go into coaches adjustments and change any 1 of the zone drops from default to something else (I personnally run flats at 10 and curls at 15). This will cancel match principles and get your corner to drop properly.
Yeah man hit me up of you have questions. There are routes and route concepts that hold that safety or "glitch" him out. Im great at exploiting cover 3 lol.
every year there's been "cover 3 beaters" that glitch these zones, change them to deep halves.
Who's the corner? Occasionally if I press and shade inside/under Sherm will get toasted so bad it's not even funny.
The guy I just played was running single back, and only had three eligible receivers. Ruggs was running a streak down one sideline, a TE ran a streak down the center of the field, and the second TE ran a deep corner route to the opposite sideline. And every time that corner route was uncovered by either of my secondary responsible for that side of the field. But most often the CB responsible for the deep third on that side of the field was nowhere to be found.

Is it a match coverage? Following a decoy maybe?
It's consistently been fully PU'd Trufant. I'm shading over the top, but not pressing. It's annoying AF giving up an easy TD cause your CB doesn't go back into their deep zone.

One of the outside deep thirds isnt dropping back, and I've had opponents constantly getting behind them for an easy TD. I just played someone who ran a deep corner route, and my deep third guy was consistently no where to be found where he was supposed to be?
