Why does Aaron Donald suck at getting sacks?
I’ve always noticed Aaron Donald’s first couple cards are pretty overwhelming but when he gets a 96+ he starts to become dominant. I think he’s so balanced run stuff / pass rush he doesn’t really stand out early
I always notice that some of the beasts irl just dont translate to MUT. Donald is one, DPOY and even gets into the MVP conversation but just really is never a dominate force in MUT. Rice might be the best WR of all time but there are always a bunch of guys better than him in MUT. JJ Watt is always solid but never has a dominate card. Dont even get me started on QBs. I think they way the players are closed and how stats work together. Just like you have guys play above their stats, some guys just play well below it.
I mean, their ACTUAL stats aren't good. It's not a case where Donald, etc. have great stats and play poorly.
Truth! Donald should be an absolute monster in this game but he isn't.
Aaron Donald has never seem to be a good MUT player...at least in my experience. Every year I've used him, he sucked so bad that I had to change ASAP. Any Donald card they release in MUT simply does not in my mind anymore.
this is so false, he was an absolute monster in 17 and 18, he went str8 through the line almost everytime.
I don't think anybody without certain abilities get a ton of sacks, but he is just ok..... I've tried everybody else and they haven't been really any more impressive than he has.
I never tried him in 17 or 18. I believe 16 was the last time I used him. He had a couple monster cards that year including TotY and all of them played like doo-doo for me.
this game is all b.s. anyway, cards play good when you are on a win streak and bad when EA is screwing you over......... I have donald with a power up pass and leveled him up to 90, he makes right many plays for me but isn't great..... nobody has really been great in that slot for me though
Agree on the player model making the most impact. Seymour and Young have been by far the most productive DT/DEs I have used all year.
I use him at RE with Edge Threat...he does a fantastic job for me...he and White are amazing together.
Gotta throw lbs in there this game is all about speed. That’s why chase young is a beast at a 83 card
I watched Cameron Jordan get a sack on Monday and it made me realize how star/superstar players don't dominate like they're supposed to in madden. Maybe regs but not mut
Player models matter. At DT, Richard Seymour is amazing. I would suggest trying him

For DT I recommend Seymour and whenever they release Warren Sapp, he will be the best. For DE, if you’re on a bit of a budget, I recommend someone like Myles Garret who will be decent and shouldn’t be more than 150k (I have no idea what he Costs now). If you have a bit more, I would go with someone like either of the Watt brothers. If coins don’t matter, put Ricky and LT on either side as your DE, they’re dominant.
Because Madden's D-Lineman don't like to pass rush or run stuff...
I've had him at end I've had him at the tackle. I've had him with edge threat on. I've had him with BOGO and double or nothing on. He simply cannot get a fucking sack ever! It's absolutely garbage that he's the best in the NFL or at least one of the best in his cards play like shit
