Not a regs guy but I would love to play in an active long term franchise with 32 guys. If you were actually able to keep a league of cool guys together to play 10+ years.
Almost impossible to get that kinda commitment though so MuT it is.
i'd rather play draft than regs... regs is terrible....... everytime I play it I curb stomp the people I'm playing against, it's not very competitive.
yup. Pretty frustrated with MUT, was wondering that just yesterday. But many of my issues will be there too. I have a nasty stutter/frame drop in the game, coverage in hurry up glitches in a major way, DBs who think that coverage means sit in the stands and eat popcorn. I could go on. This game is so freakin bad just on a basic technical level, I am about ready to just play something else. I've put in 2 support requests to EA to hopefully fix my stuttering and glitching; yer not gonna believe this, they don't care! I really want to play this game, I don't need frills and floofy pillows; I just want the damn thing to work. I just want to play the damn game. I may be out of luck. Honestly kinda bummed about this, I want this game to be ... hell, I don't even need good at this point. Just functioning. Why can't they just make a game that works?? Are they really that incompetent??
I’m getting ready to quit altogether. If coins transfer to next gen I’ll check out if they made any improvements (lol). This mode is that bad this year.
considering to stop playing all together this game is one of the worst games ive ever played across all platforms its the epitome of a money grab
This is the first year since MUT started I decided not to commit to the grind of building a MUT team. It has just become too much to keep up with MUT as a normal person that cant play 8 hours daily or spend thousands. I spent $150 on packs the first week and still didn't have a great team. The solos are longer with less rewards than I ever remember and almost every new good card is a small fortune because EA is making everything harder to get. As far as regulars... I've had a lot of fun playing it so far and I've played about 20 games over the last couple weeks. It's more strategy than mut... because you face and use teams with strengths and weaknesses unlike mut where you try to stack a squad with top players everywhere. People tend to play more original in regs too... unlike mut where every other game is the same exact scheme and players. Draft can be a lot of fun too and profitable... I have made close to 500k in draft over 3 weeks only playing an hour or two per night when i play it. I really enjoy MUT, but it has become too much and has gotten so repetitive because everybody just copies YouTube and each other building their team and finding their scheme.
One point I would make is solos used to be way longer, madden 16 every single solo was a full game
Thanks for this detailed response. I really appreciate it and will start playing draft & regs ASAP.
No problem... when you play regs, make sure to look through the depth charts to adjust and see what you have. There are abilities and x factors on certain players and it's good to know what you have. Also... most teams have a player or two that shows inactive or injured off the depth chart and for some reason they can still play as long as you put them in your lineup. Example: D. William's from K.C. can play, but he shows inactive and needs to be manually put in the lineup to use him. I like to use teams that have good safeties with high COD for better usering... there are plenty of guys in regs that have 90+ COD and that attribute is HUGE this year... especially when usering them.
Funny you mentioned it. Just started today. Not going to give up on MUT. I'll still get my legends on Saturdays, still have over 1M coins, and I'll just invest in the team slowly and play a few solos and collect my $150K+ a week.
If things keep like they’re going now I’m just gonna quit Madden with PS five coming out I’ll find something better to spend my time on
Just bought Nintendo switch and been playing original Nintendo games like Mario and Punch out with my GF and that's been fun. It's just amazing how much extra time to do other things after giving up on mut this year. No stress always worrying about upgrading to keep up... just turn on regs or draft and play when I need a football fix.
That cyberpunk 2077 looks tough 💪
I am 100% next year. This is it for me. With a baby I just don’t have the time to keep up with you savages on MUT.
I told my wife this is my retirement year. One last dance lol
I have an 85 OVR team, all solos done, and still have plenty of time for COD, Destiny, Pillars of Eternity, etc. Gotta grind smart not hard. Anytime you're watching tv or a movie you can be grinding solos. Instead of scrolling Facebook for 2 hours a day, knock out some solos.
Yeah ok...Can picture the look on my wife’s face when I tell her I’m gonna start playing video games while we’re watching tv in the evenings 🙄. Can tell a single person wrote this.
I'm engaged, and a step dad of two.
I’m sorry and I’m not trying to be an ass but if you’re doing things like having the game on in the background during family time then you’re probably being a shit father/husband.
I don’t always like it but time with family and kids always has to come first.
personally i don't see much difference in terms of money/time commitment from last year, last year brian dawkins and gale sayers were like 1.3M at one point due to lack of viable options. Eventually something will happen that completely changes the market of the game it's just waiting until that thing happens
Always that way if your NMS. Pay to play one way or another. Time is money.
I just do draft. Best of both worlds
I’ve never done draft. Tell me a little about it.
Draft a team and play.
This. There is no superstars abilities also
Alot less Lamar also?
Regs is so horrible.
I just feel like this year’s mut has been more time consuming & money hungry than any previous years. To be competitive you literally have to spend all your time playing Madden exclusively unless you’re putting tons of money into it. No time for COD, Battlefront, Fortnight or whatever else you like to play. It sucks because I do enjoy playing with legendary players but the required grind is getting to me and I’m seriously thinking of just pulling the plug & just playing games of regs as I feel like it. Is it just me or does anybody else feel this way?
