I agree with the Theme Builders being crap compared to last year, and going completely money-hungry on the level rewards. Last year, while it was a worse game gameplay-wise, the content was good. (Well, up until they plain just gave up on the game in early May, but that's another story).
I like the fact that they're going a little slower with the progression of overall in players compared to other years, but at the same time it makes it seem as though teams don't differ that much unless they're budget squads. Especially with how terrible the promos have been so far. Some variation would be great.
The amount of LTDs are ridiculous this year. Starting last year you saw how they would go towards more and more LTD cards, but if you're gonna release LTDs, at least have many more non LTD cards. Releasing only LTD cards is plain offensive.
One thing that really, really annoys me is that ghost team glitch. What I mean is, when you finish a solo or H2H game you come back into the main MUT page, you're met with an "empty" binder. Then you gotta go back into a game and back out in order for it to show your team again. How incompetent do you have to be to not address something that was around last year and it ported over to the next installment? It makes me think all they do is copy and paste.
Valid points, although if RP players went into power ups it wouldn't be until their last upgrades since their ovr's change over the course of the year
Very good list. One thing I wish they would do is put out a list of scheduled content. MLB the Show dymond dynasty does this and one of the reasons I like it better from a collecting standpoint. They also do their currency much better. AH 20 times better on the show. Also when you put a card in a collection it becomes NAT and you can still use it on your team.
Good summary. 100% cuncur with the 10 Theme players last year. It was a grind, but ten 87s was a great foundation to the team.

Per request. This is a quick list of things I do not like about MUT 21 or MUT in general. While I am optimistic and overall enjoy this game, there are many things that I do not like about the current state of the game.
Theme Builders in MUT 20 was much better. It was a grind, but if you really wanted to you could have 10, 87 OVR players as soon as you hit level 50. I hate that it's now only 1, 84.
Taking out Level Up Packs for coins was absolutely pointless. This was a decision that makes EA look greedy and has turned off a lot of NMS players.
Premium Gold Player Packs as level up rewards towards the end of the 1-50 ladder is another un-needed downgrade. Gridiron Packs or perhaps even an Elite Player Pack would've been nice.
Tier rewards for solos could be better. There are some ridiculously high expectations to be met for the final tier on some of these promos for minimal rewards. If you get full stars on every single solo challenge in a promo the rewards should be something pretty great. Not far less than the "featured tier". I know this has been the way they've always done things, but all it does is make a large percentage of the content completely pointless to everyone outside of the die hard completion type players.
There should be something new to be done daily, even if that only includes new players being added via Veterans/Flashbacks/Heavyweights.
Part 2 of promos should not be LTD players only. Part 2 of the UKO should include a new set of 88 OVR's to grind for.
Team of the Week players should be done similar to last year. The new way sucks. Are players like Marquise Brown, Carson Wentz not going to get a power up because they're not day 1 elites? If not that is stupid. I do not know if this is the case but it's what I've heard.
Rookie Premiere Cards should have an option to go into a power up for a plus one and other upgrade opportunities.
Fewer Full Game solos, or more shorter solos, and better rewards for those of us who choose to play the full game solos. (like 10, 87 OVR Theme Builders as mentioned above)
This goes for all the recent MUT's, give elite Kickers and Punters a power up card.
Everybody in the game has some form of Lamar Jackson. Release a couple guys who make people think twice about him, maybe Steve Young or Michael Vick?
Having to watch the full celebration after every solo, even for a first down, is ridiculous. Please let me skip this.
The no field lines for an entire game and the few plays of playing like a photograph negative (old people) needs to be fixed.
Fix the over-zoomed screen when picking players to compare or trade. This seems to only happen on my one-x, not my regular xbox.
Don't re-use the boring rookie animation for UKO players.
Call Pass Interference on AI when they purposely tackle my receiver when they get beat on a route.
Make it easier for receivers to win 50-50 balls with aggressive catch. Right now it's nearly impossible for most receivers in the game. It also looks stupid that the ball bounces 20-30 yards away whenever this happens.
Improve matchmaking. I'm an 87 OVR in "Star" tier for H2H Seasons and constantly get matched up with 61 OVR Bronze Teams. That's good for the W-L but when it happens the other way around it's super irritating and it's definitely not fun for anyone.
