H2H: What's the Point...?
At this point in the game, it’s really no fun. Everyone has basically the same team and the same players all 99 speed. There is absolutely NO matchmaking algorithm that I can see. I started over with PS4 and my 85 ovr team was matched with other players that were completely stacked. It’s been like that forever, but at this point in the game, to be fair, there aren’t a lot of low end teams, so you get what you get
at this point just have fun in like solos and solo battles stuff like that... i just got 2k and im not touching online but im having fun building teams and playing their solo battle type mode.
So you waited until the last possible moment to jump back in and are mad you can't get matched up with the 2% of players that are also at a 92 ovr? Makes sense
Delete your account start over all again you must have historic best player on past madden
Bro just grind your levels and you will be able to afford at least a 96 team in no time. The market is terrible rn. Take advantage of it.
It's really late in the year for a 92 team. Almost anybody you will find playing H2H are gonna have 99s as top 3... even teams at like 93-95 right now are still going to have 99s. If you don't want to be outmatched by a better team... don't play the mode that's intended to build a god squad by this time of year. If you just started, you are getting matched with lesser opponents than if you had 100 games in... problem is, they are still stacked teams.
Because some people like to just lose and go all the way down to get easy superbowl and wins. The head to head matchmaking is honestly just bad. I got matched up with a EA bot with the 3 bronzes in a playoff game easy dub but in a playoff game that shouldn't be happening.
Yeah draft mode is pretty nice but be prepared for DROPPED passes like crazy. Pretty much impossible to pass unless your guys never get hit. At this point in the year, even if you do manage to get to 99 overall, the only people left playing are SWEATS that are gonna give you a hard time and wish disease upon your family win or lose.
I mean, you're a 92 overall and you're asking why you can't win? You're going up against people who have been playing since day 1, of course the teams are stacked. It's your own fault for waiting until late May to get into MUT and expecting to have any fair games.
I'm saying why in the amateur tier am I being matched up against people with God squads that have obviously been playing since around day 1 and blatantly aren't in that tier.
I get that sometimes there isn't available players online but I'd expect at least 50% of the time there to be someone online who matches up or is closer in terms of overall. Guess not from what others are saying though...
But it's late May. How many 92 overalls do you think are playing? Here is an idea: use budget beasts with speed. Some of the physical ULs are good for this. Also play draft champs for a more even playing field. Good rewards so you can boost your team while learning new playbooks and players
Start off in Draft Mode or Salary Cap. Both of these modes are great because you do not have to deal with all these super hero X-factor & abilities. All teams are on a level playing field.

OP I’d imagine it’ll only take you another week to field a competitive team. The real issue is you haven’t been dealing with all the toxic BS all year so you’ll have to figure it out or ask questions on here about how to counter the garbage
True, one thing I haven't missed is having to deal with all the cheesy bs. There's been a few times playing today when I think I've known how to counter something, it's just the players I've got right now aren't good enough to deal with it!
Some of the junk will still work with 99 overall players. The pursuit angles of the AI in this game are laughably bad and EA has done nothing about it all year. Pair that with the auction blocking of your user getting pulled into a blocker from 3 yards away while you are running a complete different direction and it can cause plenty of anger.
This game rewards clowns who think a 2 minute with no TO offense is running the ball the entire time cause eventually they’ll break one
Get out of cancerous H2H and step in Squads
Time to get a feel for the game and get back into it for 21. Only people left playing h2h are the ones with 96+ teams so there's no one like you to match you up with.
At this point of the year most people even without money spent will have 98 overall teams. Especially with the recent market crash

Picked up M20 a week ago after not playing since 2016.
Been working my way through solos and picking up players through the auction house to improve my team and got up to a 92 overall.
Decided today to finally jump into head to head.
Long story short, I played 6 games and lost 5 after being matched up with 5 teams who were basically stacked full of 99 overalls.
Is there actually any matchmaking system in the game? Surely these people aren't in the bottom tier and why aren't I being matched up against people with similar levelled teams...?
Basically looks like I'm being locked out of playing head to head games until I can put together a team of 99 overall players which is pretty much a joke so looks like I'll just be waiting until Madden 21 before getting back into it again
