How to switch a player out on fake punts?

I sometimes to the fake punt where the ball is snapped directly to the guy behind the center and to the right. That guy is FB Bettis for me, but I want to put someone with speed there instead. How would I do that? I tried doing R1 to substitute like I do on other plays but I don't think it let me.
