The correct term is “input lag”, yes monitors are designed to have minimal input lag and TVs can add all kinds of lag. In madden the most noticeable part would be the field goal meter
the smaller the screen and closer you are to it the easier it is going to be for your mind to take in the content therefore you would typically see things a split second faster. Also monitors are known for having a better refresh rate so images also come through slightly faster.
Now in madden yes you would be slightly better probably, but the real impact is FPS like fortnite COD where a lot of times its the difference of the last bullet. So awesome internet, exceptional ping, then having that minute refresh rate all factor in. Almost everytime I'm knocked out my gun goes off first and I lose to his shot that rings in after. My main issue for a FPS is internet. The biggest advantage I would see for a FPS is going to a mouse/keyboard and monitor setup similar to PC. thats huge in Fortnite.
For madden i personally would never do it, but I have considered it for fortnite. The recliner and 65" won that debate when I just can't keep up internet wise. But I'm also not uber competitive nor compete in any competitions.
Samsung 4K UHD 32" monitors have a fast response game mode, 3840 x 2048 resolution and switch easily between game, PC and TV. Or you can have any two choices side by side using picture by picture mode.
Ive been playing on a 26 inch acer moiniter for about three years and I really enjoy it. This may sound silly but I feel like as the next editions of madden come out, I get worse at the game. So comparing my skill level to before and after the acquisition of the moniter is a little unfair because I was much better at madden 25 than I am at madden 18. However, the input lag is significantly reduced and a moniter feels much better to play on than a TV. I notice the input lag difference most in solos.
Quote from mjutton1 >> I’m gonna put my tv on game mode tonight and see if I notice any difference. Reallly want to try a monitor, but I’m not sure I would be able to adjust to playing on something that small.
I thought the same thing until I just switched over to monitor 2 weeks ago (27 inch) I will never go back to a tv now. It's just different playing right in front of the monitor and the size actually helps you. Once you try it you wont regret it

The input lag is usually better on a smaller TV and especially a monitor. It's not going to be a huge difference on madden, but on shooters I can definitely tell a difference.
I play on a 65” big screen. But I have found that I play better on a smaller screen. I feel in big screen it’s harder to read both sides of fieldnon offense. If my 1st read is on right side I miss stuff on left
as far as reaction i feel like its better when u are reacting to something fast and the graphics feel alot better
i personally have been playing on a monitor for about 3 years now and absolutely love it. i cant play call of duty on a tv much less a big screen. madden i can play on a tv and its fine but i do feel like the monitor is better because how long i have played on a monitor. It enhanced my gameplay in aw by a ton and i became a way better player in COD.
-Best way to say it... If you lounge on a couch u use a tv if u like being close u use a monitor best way to put it really
Do you see any kind of difference in reaction and gameplay? A friend was telling me about it, and was just curious if it actually shows a difference with madden.
