Platinum Edition cards - what's the point?

So, I am failing to see the actual purpose of the Platinum Edition cards, other than some bonus coinage. Can someone smarter than me (essentially everyone qualifies here) tell me WTF is the point of keeping one of these cards?

not really, the value in these cards is they aren't effected by steep declines in prices, you can buy some of the best cards in the game and quicksell them when you are finished with them and they retain value so much better than just your basic core elite cards or LTD cards do. Heck of a deal

why is everyone just missing that point?

Honesty, I have NO idea what you just said.

You don't have to worry about the always impending market crash everyone panics about. If the price tanks when the next shiny thing comes along, cool, just quicksell it then

Honestly I think EA are helping with farm trading. Buy one of these cards and trade it over then quicksell. You wont be botted. Thanks ea.

They are nice when you pull them on a farm. You get to transfer the coins without the tax.

Is there a list of these players somewhere?  I’ve googled it a couple of times and haven’t found anything.  Thanks

I don't have to worry about me not playing the game for 3 months, and my team has lost 1000000 coins value.

I can just qs the coin value cards and buy the new cards which will be probably cost less than 500k.
