rewarding outplays instead of punishing them
been a trend for multiple years. in my opinion outplays should be rewarded and mistakes punished. to me this is a definition of competitive play.
in madden for multiple years this is not the case. ill take the example of sending a cheesy unrealistic unskillful blitz that people love to run. you make the necessary protections to pick it up when it abuses the ai. you outplayed your opponent, you used more skill than they did to block the blitz. sending the unrealistic cheesy blitz takes NEGATIVE skill where as blocking it takes some. this outplay is consistently punished by instant sheds and faster than normal pass rush because its a blitz.
ill give you another example, your opponent calls another NEGATIVE skill play in a compressed or close set play with drags or table routes, you take away the reads and have to make 3-4 adjustments to do so when he can run it stock or use 1 hot route he saw on youtube only for him to make a bad read throw it into coverage sometimes double coverage and come down with it.
