Amazon Pre-order Delayed!
I know this isn't mut discussion, but I have seen other threads in this sub forum about Amazon pre-orders and figured it would get more replies here. I preordered the standard edition weeks ago. I got an email saying that I was getting release day delivery and that it would be delivered on August 10th. It still hasn't shipped and now it's telling me it won't arrive until Tuesday. Is anyone else's Amazon preorder being delayed? I'm thinking of canceling the order. What is the point of preordering if you don't receive until 4 days after it's released?!
Update 2: At 8:40 I heard someone pull in my driveway. It was UPS. It's installing now
Update: I chatted with customer support on Wednesday night. She said that she could expedite it to get it to me by Friday at no charge. Since I was originally supposed to get it Friday, then it changed to Tuesday, but now she can magically expedite it, I asked why the change in my delivery date. She said that there were a lot of pre-orders with 1 day shipping selected. Since I chose 2 day shipping, mine was delayed. This makes absolutely no sense to me. If I'm guaranteed to get it on release day, why would I pay extra for 1 day shipping? Anyway, I was supposed to get it today and it is now 8:30. I have no game and my delivery date has changed again.

I preordered madden 18 last year on amazon, and after a couple days it said it wouldn’t arrive until November or something cuz it was out of stock. F u amazon

Wow bro why even post this where there is NO reason to what so ever.Its always different strokes for different folks and tbh with you i'll never get the Virtual copy myself because plain and simple is i Don't want to and rather have the disc but again this should have never been posted.God bless you & yours though.
I ordered the standard edition by amazon to and it says it will be delivered by Tuesday not sure if its true but I’ll just wait
THere was a thread about this a week or 2 ago. I tried to warn people it wasnt a "better deal" to go with Amazon, because the game never comes on guaranteed release day.
It happened to me in Madden 15 and 16, I ended up canceling and running out to Gamestop... By 17 I had learned, but I heard it happened to many people in 17 as well.... AMazon 2 day prime is amazing, but they cant meet same day delivery for games.

Some people prefer physical copies and with Amazon you save 20% off the hard copy only. Unfortunately PS4 doesn’t have EA Access to go that route. Plus you can sell the copy at the end of the year for $15 or so on Ebay. My copy came a day late but they gave a partial refund so that made up for it.

This happened happened to me as well. I preordered HOF on Amazon. I received an empty package (literally nothing but air) with no explanation whatsoever on my porch yesterday. I called Amazon and they said there was a mistake and I would receive my game the next day (Aug 8th) by 5:00 pm. 8:00 pm rolls around and guess what? No package, note, email or anything. I contacted them again and they said there was a “packaging mistake” and they were now out of stock and I would receive my order on August 20th. I said F no, got my refund, and bought HOF at my local Best Buy. It was some straight BS. I order a lot of stuff from Amazon, and for the most part I have never had any problems. However I learned my lesson about preordering games with them...smh.
