sorry if this has been answered before i was unable to find it. for pass blocking power and finesse goes against the rushers stats etc. in the run game someone told me different runs using one or the other, for instance zone runs using rbf and dives and powers using rbp. cant recall where i heard it but would anyone be able to confirm this is the case and what runs are affected.
Looks like where I saw this was a Forbes article, the actual EA Blog doesn't mention it. The Forbes article however states
Run Block Power
The ability of a player to block for man-concept runs such as the dive, stretch, etc. (Established at the play call screen)
Run Block Finesse
The ability of a player to block for zone-concept runs such as the inside zone or outside the zone. (Established at the play call screen)
These stats are actually explained on the EA Franchise Blog:
https://www.easports.com/madden-nfl/news/2018/franchise-deep-dive
Run Block Power: Determines success chance for Drive, Down, and Power Double Team blocks on plays like Toss and Power O. Run Block Finesse: Determines success chance for Zone, Reach, and Zone-Double Team blocks on plays like Outside Zone and Stretch. Lead Block: Determines success chance for blockers leading from the backfield or pulling from the line.
I feel like offensive linemen vs defensive f7 players are going to be very nice this year. I couldn’t help myself and pulled a heavyweight pack and got 87 Conklin. Jumped in a solo battle and there was an enormous difference. Seemed to really stand out driving his guy off the line consistently. I went back in and checked some replays of good/bad plays and it felt like a huge advantage, as it would using an 87 WR this early on.
Def pulling another heavyweight pack in the near future
Run Block power is man blocking, so plays like dive, power and counter. The caveat would be that the lead block rating would take over for the pulling players. Run block finesse is what is used on zone run concepts like inside and outside zone.
What I'm not sure about is that teh description from one of the blogs lists stretch runs as being used under Run Block Power when by nature stretch is a zone run play.
Quote from DeuceQuattro >> I think it’s run block finesse. Power runs vs. stretch, counter, zone, etc.
its definitely run block finesse just looking to confirm what runs use which run block, we can guess but hoping someone has the knowledge.

Run block power and run block footwork. Idk which one activates on plays. Assuming footwork for pulling gaurds.
